"There you guys are!"

Flippy twitched, before meeting Flaky's gaze. Shrieking, he jumped back, accidently knocking Flaky over.
"I- I'm sorry! A- are you o- ok!?" He stammered, rushing to her side, and helping her up. That was until he noticed her bleeding arm. He froze up, his eye twitching.
"F- Flippy... c- calm down..." Flaky whimpered, cowering.

Suddenly, two arms wrapped around Flippy, startling him. Lumpy pat his head, Flippy looking baffled and dizzy- not to mention how pale he looked, only further emphasising the dark circles around his eyes.
"L- L.... F-" Flippy stuttered, staring at the ground. He choked slightly, beginning to sob.

Hearing his distress, they tightly wrapped their arms around him, Flaky only hugging him, whilst Lumpy could reach his long arms around both. Comforted by the natural warmth, Flippy appreciated being sandwiched.

Flaky's ear twitched as she heard a scratchy noise. She opened an eye, seeing a glasses-wearing anteater, writing on a piece of paper. Is he seriously writing this down? The porcupine scowled silently, pulling away from the embrace slightly, immediately alerting the jittery bear. His pink, puffed eyes noticed her annoyance at the anteater. Whimpering, he wrapped his arms firmly around her neck, pulling her close.
"Ignore him. He's going what he has to do..." Flippy whispered into her ear, seeing her nod slightly, albeit reluctantly.

Calmed, Flippy finally pulled away from the hug, sniffling a bit, and wiping any remaining moisture from his eyes.
"Hey! There's a cafe over there! Maybe you two can go in," Lumpy smiled at the red porcupine and green bear.

"W- why?" Flaky asked, shuffling uncomfortably.

"Becuz you're scared of the chicks over there, and Flippy could probubly use the caffeine," Lumpy explained, laughing a bit at his own joke.

"Heh, yeah, ok. Will you be ok with that, Flakes?" Flippy asked, turning to Flaky, and giving her a soft smile. Flaky felt her face flood with heat, and her heart skip a beat. Why does he have to be so cute, but so scary at the same time!?
"Y- y- yeah, o- ok!" Flaky stammered, her face only burning further as he giggled at her.

"Ok then. Let's get going. I just need to quickly grab the book," Flippy stated, before standing. Immediately, he stretched his arms and legs, the hushed sound of popping coming from his cracking joints.

Swiftly, he jogged to the park, immediately being swarmed by concerned friends. He couldn't bring himself to answer. He didn't want to think about it. So, as he always does, he brushed off their concerns, giving cheerful chat instead. As fast as ge could, he grabbed the book, before dashing back to Flaky.
"Ready to go, ma'am," Flippy asked jokingly, holding out a gloved paw, the trio snickering.

"Why, yes, my good sir. That would be splendid," Flaky joined in, giving a posh overtone to her usually casual voice.

"Ok then, you pair, let's go," Lumpy chuckled, the pair following him. However, Flaky didn't feel right. Nervously, she glanced backwards, quick to realise the cause of her discomfort. A familiar blue anteater was following them. Why is he still here? Flaky felt annoyance wash over her. Was he ever going to leave them alone? She could definitely relate to Lumpy's dislike for Sniffles following Flippy.

Tearing her from her thoughts was a large paw gently wrapping around hers. She jumped, turning to the green bear, who was giving her a sweet look, clearly telling her not to worry. Smiling, she tightened her own grip, content with being next to him. He laughed, but left his hand there, seemingly fine with holding her hand, seeing as they done it a lot when they first met. Flaky felt her face burn up again from his laugh, making Flippy only laugh louder. Luckily, her pain didn't last long, as they finally reached the cafe.
