Turning away from the window, Flaky found herself looking at Flippy. He sat between her and Toothy, Sniffles sitting in the front, and Petunia driving.
The bear had began reading a book Sniffles had lent him. It was quite a science-based book, but he seemed to appreciate it for what it was. Some reading material. Flippy had mentioned to Sniffles that he'd never actually read a proper book, which concerned Flaky greatly. Then again, everything concerned her. Again, it was probably anxiety. Besides, the look Flippy had as he lost himself in a world of paper and words was... heartwarming. She couldn't keep herself from beaming when she looked at him. Flippy really could be just like a kid.
Her mind paused when she thought that. There were so many layers (-like onions? ;)-) to Flippy, it was hard to see him as just one person. He changed so drastically so quickly at times. Maybe he's bipolar... no, that can't be right... Flaky thought back to the major moods she recognised: his usual self- not something she needed to question-, A child-like one, a brave one, a sad one, an apathetic one... and when he flips out...
The first one was, by far, her favourite. It happened when he experienced new things. He'd get this look of wonder and excitement in his eyes. Sure, he was jumpy, easily scared, shy, quiet, anxious and paranoid, but he was sweet and a pleasure to be around. The next one, the brave one, would become very protective and defensive. Unlike his child one, he didn't stutter, speaking clearly and simply to get his point across. This one was seen the least, but she didn't mind it too much. The sad one broke her heart the most. It seriously did to watch him crying over past memories, sometimes pretending she was someone named 'Jitter' to find some form of comfort. Again, this one was rare. The apathetic one always worried her. He'd become quiet, but not shy. Nor did he really consider others, just speaking his mind. He would just close himself off, refusing to let anyone too close until he relaxed a bit. And last, but certainly not least... when he was flipped... she absolutely loathed this 'side'. It was the only one she couldn't believe to be him. Everyone acts a bit different depending on how they feel, or who they're with, but this one... this one wasn't normal. It clearly caused him pain, and he had no memory of his actions. It was just... horrible to even think about...
Finally, they parked at the entrance, seeing the familiar blue moose. He wore a long-sleeved, green shirt with navy blue jeans. He smiled wide when he saw them, his over bite evident as his lips parted into a toothy grin.
