The porcupine shrieked in terror, cowering away from the bestial bird. Petunia, just about to solace the quivering animal, when a streak of green shot across their vision, knocking Flaky down.

Panicked, Toothy saw Flippy kneeling over a fearful Flaky, pinning her. His purple eyes widened in fear as he rushed over and attempted to pry the bear off. Unfortunately, Flippy was stronger, shoving him carelessly. However, as Toothy looked up, he saw Flippy's face. Instead of that usual look of anger and lunacy, he looked scared and hesitant, yet kept that same look of instability.
"...Flip...py?" Toothy asked, no response from the twitching bear.

Sharply, Flippy grabbed Flaky's wrist, dragging her off. She struggled to keep up with him, the bear being faster than herself; despite all the sports she played.
"Uhh, f- Flippy?" She whimpered, her arm aching. She saw the bear twitch, before sprinting even faster.

Flaky wailed in agony, a wave of unbearable pain filling her arm, from Flippy yanking harder. It felt as if her bones had snapped- though, they obviously didn't.
"F- Flippy! S- stop! It hurts!" She sobbed, tears rolling down her cheeks, and staining her fur. Still, the bear didn't respond, dragging the pained porcupine.

Meanwhile, the others stood in a state of shock. They weren't expecting that from a scream. The situation finally clicking, they decided to chase after them. However, they were all stopped by an eight foot figure. It was a familiar, cheery moose. However, now, he wore an anxious, distressed expression, replacing the bliss they knew him for.
"I'll sort him. I'll be right back," he stated.

"W- wait! What!?" Toothy exclaimed, "what if he gets violent? How will you handle him alone?!"

"I have faith in him. I'm sur- no, I know he won't. I trust him with my life," Lumpy claimed boldly, before leaning closer to Toothy and whispering, "besides, I don't want him near him while he's vunrable. Him just waching his pain and righting notes makes me sick." (-misspellings in Lumpy's speech are gonna be on purpose, to show his mispronunciations-). Toothy nodded uncomfortably. While Lumpy wasn't the brightest, he clearly knew right from wrong... or, at least, his beliefs of 'right from wrong'. Though, it was comforting to see how faithful he was to his friends.

Lumpy dashed off, following the direction of the distressed porcupine, and the lunatic bear.

Speaking of distressed porcupines and lunatic bears, Flippy sharply turned a corner, Flaky's arm getting scrapped against the brick wall's corner. She whimpered, holding her bleeding elbow, feeling her fur through the torn fabric of her cardigan.

Slam! Flaky cried out as her back was shoved against the rough wall, more tears escaping her puffed eyes, loud sobs seeping out her mouth. Her vision blurred, she turned to the green mammal besides her, seeing him peaking around the corner. Despite the torture he'd- doubtfully knowingly- put her through, she watched him with great concern. However, fear triumphed as he sharply turned to her, harshly grabbing her, claws piercing her shoulders. She cowered, whining desperately, cringing from the mix of fear and agony.

Suddenly, the bear tightly wrapped his arms firmly around her, resting her head on his chest, gently stroking her quills, seemingly not concerned about his paw pads being cut open by the quills. He rocked back and forth, tears seeping out, quietly whimpering and murmuring.
"Q- Quick-Wit, j- just stay calm..." he cooed.

"Quick-Wit?" Flaky asked, Flippy not responding. He jittered, looking around fearfully.

"There you guys are!"
