Braxton’s POV

I lean in, kissing her zealously and I can feel her return it just as readily.  I pull back, slapping her on the ass as I walk towards the door.  “Let’s go!”

She stands for a second and then starts laughing, following me out the door.  “You better watch those hands, Mr. Cooper,” she says walking by.  I shut the door, locking it behind me.

“You seemed to enjoy my hands and where they roamed this morning,” I retort as I get in the car.

“That was different.  I like when you’re all handsy in the bedroom,” she says while buckling up.

I let out a small chuckle as I start up the car.  I back out of the driveway, heading downtown to the restaurant.  “What kind of cases are you working on now?” she asks to break the silence.

“They finally gave me some easy ones for once.  No high end murder case.  There’s a case for an attacked female and a kidnapping  case.”

“You consider those easy cases?” she asks quizzically.

“Well… They’re much easier than this last case I had.”

“I guess.  So we really haven’t talked much since you’ve been back.  How was your trip to Philly?”

“It was nice.  Thanks baby for making all the arrangements.”

“You’re welcome.  Who won the game?”

“Philly did.  It was a close game.  It’s been so long since I’d been to a game; I forgot how crazy the fans get.”

“I’m just glad that you guys had fun.”

“Cody and I had a good time.  We went out for a few drinks after the game too.”

“You guys didn’t drive, did you?”

“No.  We took a cab.  Olivia didn’t want either of us driving, because she knew that we’d be drinking and she apparently still remembers how we can get,” I say snickering.

“I’m glad she remembers.  Did you take any pictures of Jocelyn?”

“No, I forgot.   I’m sorry.  I’m sure if you call Olivia, she’d be more than happy to email you some.”

“It’s okay.  It’ll give us an excuse to take a trip there together.”

“I would like that.”  I sit silently for a second, “I visited my parents.”

She looks over at me; her eyes are big with concern.  “Babe, why didn’t you tell me?”

I shrug my shoulders, “I don’t know, but it was good… Sad.  I really miss them.”

“I’m sorry, Braxton.  I wish I could have been there with you.”

I reach over, taking her hand in mine.  “It’s okay.  Maybe next time you can come with.”

She squeezes my hand, “I would like that.”

“Can we talk about something else?” I say looking over at her.  “I don’t want the talk of my parents to ruin the evening.”
