"His name is Moose. He's fine," Jug says. I sat across from him and took a sip from my milkshake.
"Dude, what the hell? I've been texting you," Archie said, sitting by me and Ronnie.
"Archie, Jughead just told us what happened yesterday," Betty said.
"Though I checked out at the words 'construction' and 'site,'" Veronica said.
"Moose and I are going to the Southside to find those Serpents," Archie said. "You in?"
"Whoa! Hey, you didn't say it was the Serpents who beat Moose up," Betty said turning to Jug.
"Cause we don't know that for a fact," Jug said.
"Well, it's still worth a shot if it might help my dad. Kevin's boyfriend can get us in." Archie said.
"Get you in where?" V asked.
"To some bar where the Serpents hang out. If Moose spots them, we call Sheriff Keller and get these goons arrested." he said.
"Archie, the Serpents are dangerous. They're drug dealers," Betty said.
"What? Says who?" Jug asked.
"Polly. Remember? Trev told us that Jason was dealing drugs? It was for the Serpents," Betty said.
"You heard my Dad, Jughead. Clifford Blossom is trying to torpedo him. Sheriff Keller basically blew him off, right in front of us. Somebody needs to do something," Archie said.
"Archie, I don't think my dad threatened Mr. Andrews." I said and all the eyes turned to me. "He is not a bad guy. He wouldn't go this far, at least."
"Rose." said Jug.
"Okay, fine. Maybe he did it." I said. "But it doesn't change the fact that he is my father so please be nice about him, at least when I'm around."
"Fair enough." said Ronnie.
"It's for my dad," Archie said.
"Archie, going into that bar is a bad idea," Jug said.
"I agree, Archie, you are gonna get yourself in trouble." I said.

"Thanks for having my back." Archie stomped out the door and I scooted away from V.
I looked at Jug, his eyes were focused on his coffee. "It'll be fine." I whispered, only allowing him to hear.
"So, about the baby shower..." Ronnie started talking.
🌹
"We're here!" Cheryl screamed as we entered Veronica Lodge's apartment. I laughed as she took Nana Rose and went to get some food.
I spotted Jughead, away from the crowd and I went next to him. "Hey, Vanilla." I said as I smiled.
"Hi, Blossom. Great entrance." he said, making me laugh. He pulled me into a hug went Betty started talking.
"Gather around Polly is going to open the gifts," Betty announced. Jug and I moved back.
"Did you buy a gift?" he asked me.
"A Blossom family heirloom." I said as he looked away.
"Okay, Mom's," Betty said. Polly opened it and a smile spread across her face.
"It's my nightlight. When I was a little kid. How did you-Where did you even?" Polly asked.
"I saved it. I know how much you loved it and how it made you feel safe. And I wanted you to be able to pass it down to your own baby one day," Alice said.
"Alice, it's lovely," Hermoine Lodge said.
"Open ours next, dear," my mother said as Archie busted through the door. He stomped over to Jughead and I.
"You were protecting him. That's why you didn't tell me," Archie said. Betty and Veronica made their way to us too.
"Relax. What happened?" Jug asked.
"Did you know that Jughead's father is a Serpent?" Archie asked. I just looked down.
"No," Betty said.
"You did, didn't you Rose?" Archie said. He huffed and looked away. "That's why he tried to stop me from going to the bar, so I wouldn't find out. After everything my dad has done for you." Archie said.
"Archie, I can explain, okay?" Jug said.
"But not right now. This is Polly's day, so you two need to check yourselves. I mean it," Veronica said.
"-Archie," Jug said.
"No, save it," Archie said."Come on," V said leading Archie to the door. I looked back over to Polly.
"That is a family heirloom. Great-grandfather Blossom used to play with it. Isn't it magnificent?" my mother said as Polly held our gift.
"Oh, Polly, come stay with us at Thornhill," Cheryl said and I quickly rushed forward.
"Cheryl, what are you doing?" I asked, they all ignored me.
"Cheryl's invitation is genuine. Thornhill's gates will always be open to you. The child would want for nothing. You would want for nothing." my mother said.
"Do you think that you can just waltz in here, with a bedbug-infested Trojan Horse, wave a blank check around and steal my daughter?" Alice said.
"I didn't think you wanted her, else why would she have been exiled like some pariah?" My mother spoke.
"Mom, don't start up a fight. It's Pol-"
"Can it, Rose." she said as she looked at me angrily.
"To keep her away from your family." Alice said.
"Oh. And not because you're ashamed? Why is your own daughter not living with you?" my mother continues.
"She's not going to set foot in that twisted, poisonous house of yours." Alice stepped in.
"She should be so lucky." Cheryl said.
"Cheryl, that's not helping." Betty chimed in.
"She'd do a lot better there than with you." my mother said.
"How dare you?" Alice said.
"Enough! Both of you!" Polly screamed.
"If you believe one lie," Alice said.
"This is why Jason is dead! Because of this hate. This pointless, stupid fighting," Polly said.
I moved back, Jughead wrapped his arm around my waist and pulled me closer to him. He rested his on my shoulder as we watched the fight.
"Honey," Alice said, reaching for Polly's arm and she pulled it away.
"No, don't touch me. We were supposed to be together. And you didn't let us have that, either of you. And you know it cost Jason his life." Polly said.
