9- SHE'S LIKE AN ANGEL!
"You didn't have to Sam." Cece said quietly as we walked into my room. She had tried to talk to me back in the limo but I had ignored her. Not that I was angry with her, but I couldn't listen to her rant about how it's all her fault and how I never should have agreed to be the bullies' slave.
Even Paul had tried to talk about it, though cautiously. I had ignored him and brought up the 'telling Cory about my car' issue. That had kept him mute. But I had still demanded the reason he told Cory about it. He claimed he had mistakenly spilled half of it before he could stop. Cory had then demanded to know the full story by threatening him.
You'd say I shouldn't believe the fact that Cory threatened him. But I know my brother, he's capable of anything!
"Ughh..." I groaned. "Can you shut up, Cece?" We were the only ones in my house because I had asked Paul to drop me and Cece at home before going to pick up Cory. Theresa on the other hand, had most likely gone to pick up Melody from school. Cecilia sighed as she sat on my bed.
"All their previous slaves had to leave the school. The bullies and their mean "girlfriends" tortured them. Especially Caleb. He's the meanest. Very heartless." Cece said softly. What bothered me was the 'mean girlfriends'. Who were they?
"Who are their girlfriends?" I decided to ask.
"Remember those girls you said were glaring at you in the hallway today? I didn't have time to reply you since you were late for your history class." Yeah, some group of girls suddenly took pleasure in glaring at me. They were the same ones who were glaring daggers at me the day Drew came up to me in the cafeteria. Though anytime I saw them try to approach me, I walked away very fast. They obviously didn't run after me.
"Yeah. What about them?"
"They're the female bullies." Oh. "The brunette with hazel eyes is Natalie Elliott, Caleb's girlfriend."
"Of course!" I exclaimed. "They'd get along so well!" Cecilia chuckled.
"The next is Alex Harper, the girl with black hair and brown eyes, she's Drew's ex." Really? Drew didn't seem like someone who could fall in love, let alone, date! He barely opened up to anyone.
"What happened to them?" I couldn't help but ask. She shrugged.
"No one really knows. But there was a rumour then that Alex cheated on him at a party. Some said Drew fell in love with someone else so only God knows." Wow.
"That's something."
"Yeah." Cece nodded. "The girl with light brown hair and beautiful green eyes is Charlotte West. Not as mean as the rest but can be a tigress when it comes to Ryan. Everyone knows Ryan has a thing for her too but he's never asked her out. They're more like friends with benefits or so. The last is Emily Walker, the blonde with brown eyes. She's Natalie's cousin, that's why she's with them. But heck, she's like Natalie's dog! Her quest for fame makes her crave to always be on their good sides even though they sometimes maltreat her. So, people don't give her the respect they give her cousin. She's obsessed with Ethan but that guy despises her."
"So those were the girls glaring at me, huh. Honestly, from your story, I'd expect only Alex to glare at me." I said. Cece chuckled.
"You don't get it. They're not only mad at you because of Drew, it's mainly because you're the only one outside their circle of friends who has ever stood up to the four boys. They're scared they might lose their fame. Plus. you're gorgeous too, who wouldn't be jealous?" Cece teased. I scoffed but couldn't stop the blush that crept to my cheeks.
"But they're all gorgeous too!" Yeah. they are. Especially Natalie. I stand no chance with her. She's like an angel! Only she's an evil one.
"Yeah, they are." Even Cece admitted. "Thanks Sam, even though I still don't want you to be their slave. I deserve that. I should have been more careful." She pulled me in for a hug. I hugged her back.
