53- THIS IS WAR!
"Guys, Sam and I will be hanging out later this evening." Cory said as soon as we got back from Church.
"Really?" I exclaimed excitedly. Cory wanted to hang out This is huge.
"I meant Samuel, not you!" Cory scoffed.
Right!
"Of course." I deadpanned. Theresa laughed at our exchange.
"Oh I miss Melody!" She suddenly said. Cory and I sighed simultaneously.
Lately, Theresa had not been so frequent at home because of her work with Tobias Graham. They had been going on multiple trips lately and since Cory and I couldn't take care of her alongside ourselves since we had school, dad and Anya had suggested she stayed with them for the mean time.
At first, we were wary but when we saw how Melody seemed to love staying with dad and his wife, more than we had expected, we became calm. But still, we missed that little angel!
"I gotta go take a shower." Cory said, plodding to his room.
"I'm glad he's coming out of his shell though." I said, smiling after my brother.
"Right?" Theresa said, smiling too.
"I spoke with the Pastor today." I told her. She smiled.
"Yeah, I saw."
"He's even nicer in person." Theresa nodded. "He told me he had some information for me. He told me to spend more time with God. He said God wants to tell me something."
"Oh wow! That's awesome, Sam!" She smiled so broadly. I shrugged.
"I can't wait to hear what He has to say."
"Yeah."
"Alright, I'm off!" I said but just as I took three steps, Theresa stopped me.
"Sam! We still need to talk! What's going on?" I sighed. I guess we'd just get it done with.
So I led Theresa by the hand to the big sofa in the sitting room.
"Okay, my dearest sister. I stepped into that school knowing fully well that there were bullies. Which you also knew about." Yes, Theresa and I had discussed about the bullies which I had informed her about as soon as Joe had told me there were bullies.
I remember that night I had cried into Theresa's arms and she had comforted me and promised to stand by me. She did stand by me, only I hadn't been open to her.
So I told my sister everything! Every single thing I knew and experienced! In tears and laughter, I talked and she listened.
As soon as I was done, I felt as light as a feather. Theresa had pulled me into a hug.
"I love you, Sam! You're so strong and so brave! I wish I was there during all your sufferings! I wish..."
"Shhhh, it's okay!" I said, hugging my sister back. She nodded, sniffing a bit.
"I love you sis!" She said again. "But that doesn't mean, I will sit back and do nothing! As soon as I return from my trip on Tuesday, we'd have a really long talk! For now, I really need to think about it and for the record, I trust your judgement.... To an extent!" She mumbled the last part. I laughed.
"I love you T!"

I kept feeling Crystal's gaze occasionally on me. It had been like that ever since we got into the library. It was third period in which I had music and Crystal was free. Grace had dismissed the class way early so I had gone over to the library where I happened to meet Crystal.
