Chapter 22

KELLIN'S POV
'Come on kells' Vic giggled, flinging his back pack over his shoulder.
'Aww, I don't wanna leave.' I whined.
He chuckled and kissed my nose sweetly, 'You know we don't have time for it.'
I nodded and gave him a sad smile, 'Hopefully one day we will have all the time in the world.' I whispered.
Vic gave me a hopeful smile and nodded, taking my hand and walking down the hall.

We bundled into the elevator, smirking at each other, no doubt remembering what went on last time we were in here.
The door pinged in no time and we stepped out.
I checked my watch to double check how much time I had: 4 Hours.
That's enough to get back In time.

We checked out and walked out of the large, modern building, looking out for Vic's car.

Ring ring!

Vic picked up his phone and frowned.
'Mike.' He told me.
I nodded and stood, watching as he answered the phone.
'Hellooo?'
'Umm, we're on our way back, why?' Vic said, checking his watch.
His eyes snapped open wide, 'Don't go near it, stay as far away as possible. Leave the room if you must.' He spoke loudly.
'What is it?' I asked.
'The store cupboard!' He panicked.

''Okay, we're on our way - we'll be about 2 hours!' Vic said into the phone and hung up, rushing to towards his car.
He opened the door for me before checking I was in and slamming it shut, running round to the drivers side and clambering in.
He pulled out of the parking space, wheels squeaking on the floor, before he accelerated hard and sped off.

'Mike!' Vic yelled, bursting open the doors.
No one was there.
'Mikey!' Vic screamed, but no one replied.
'Tony?' I called, 'Jaime?'

'They're gone.' A voice said.
I whipped around to see Jesse stood there.
'What? What do you mean?' I asked.
He shrugged, 'They left, I think they're just wandering around.'
I nodded, 'So they're okay?'
'Last time I saw them, yeah.' He replied.
I smiled and pulled him into a hug, 'it's nice to see you, I don't really see you around much these days.'
He laughed slightly, 'that's because I'm trying to think of ways to make a portal.'
I grinned, 'Thank you. Once we've figured this out we'll finally be free.' I said hopefully.
He nodded and smiled, 'Yeah.'

'Mike!' I heard vic call again.
'Hey!' I said, getting his attention.
'What is it?' He asked, panicked.
'They've just gone out for a wander, that's all.' I smiled.
He breathed a sigh of relief, 'How d'you find out?'
'Jesse.'
He smiled and kissed my nose, sending butterflies into my stomach.
He pulled out his phone and held it to his ear.
'Mike?'
'We're back.'
'No, it looks normal to me.'
'Of course I believe you.'
'Okay'
'Bye'

He hung up and put his phone back in his pocket.
'They'll be back in a few minutes.' He confirmed.
I smiled and nodded.
'Umm, Kells...' I heard Jesse's voice say from behind me.
'Yeah?' I asked, turning around.
'Umm, It might be my fault that..you know, the cupboard..' Jesse said.
'What do you mean?' I asked.
'Well, I was trying to figure out how the portal was made so I was nosing around in the cupboard and there was a door at the back. But my hand went through the handle... so I kicked it down and the portal was in there... but then the door re-formed itself and slammed in my face.. then every single door in the building started opening and closing and gusts of wind were shooting out the cupboard and that's when the guys called you.' Jesse said.
I smiled, 'Well, it's okay now.'
'I think I made it really angry..'

I sighed and ran my fingers through my hair, 'It'll be fine.. I hope.' 
Jesse smiled and nodded.

I heard a low mutter of voices until the front door opened and Mike, Tony, and Jaime pour in.
Mike looked around cautiously,
'So.. what was that all about?'
