Chapter 29

KELLINS POV
Loud thudding caused my eyes to snap open.
I quickly sat up, but regretted the decision almost immediately as pain shot through my head.
I winced and looked around.
I was back in my room, laying on my bed.
I rolled over and Vic wasn't there.
Fear shot through me as I remembered yesterday.
He isn't dead.
It has to have been a dream.
He can't be dead.
My vic.

I slowly got up out of bed, trying to keep hopeful.
These days, I can't tell the difference from dreams and reality.

I opened the door and entered the main hall.
I immediately knew this was real.
He was dead.

The atmosphere was low and depressing.
My bottom lip quivered as tears threatened to spill.

Tony and Jaime were sat on the sofa, Tonys head rested on Jaimes shoulder.
I can't believe he's gone.

But..
I'm sad, like really sad.. but.. I loved him, I love him, surely if I realised I'd never see him again I would be more upset.
But that's the thing.
Will I see him again?

I turned around and walked back to my room.
I sat on my bed and placed my head in my hands, groaning.
Can I find him?

I needed to find Jesse.

'Jesse?' I whisper yelled.
'What?' He said.
I jumped back and turned around, 'Jesus, you scared me.'
'Well you did call me.. about a hundred times..' He laughed.
'How are you feeling?' He asked.
'Vic?'
'Yeah.'
'How did you know?' I frowned.
'I hear things.' He said.
'Okay?'
He shrugged, 'so, what you want?'
I sighed and rubbed my eyes, 'Is it possible to find him again?' I asked.
'I don't know. Let's hope so..' He whispered.
'I hate not knowing where he is. Or even if he is anywhere.' I groaned.
'I know how you feel.' He mumbled.
I gave him a questioning look.
He sighed, 'Hayley. I still miss her.'
'Oh yeah.. you liked her?' I asked.
He nodded, 'A lot.'
I pulled him into a hug, 'One day we'll find her.' I whispered.
'And we'll find Vic.' He replied.

VICS POV
The strong breeze of San Diego air whipped around my hair, god I missed it here.
But I miss Kellin more..

And mike. And Jaime. And Tony.
I wonder what they're all doing.
People walked by, not giving me a single glance.
Now I knew how I felt to be literally invisible..
I stared at the sea, watching its waves crash on the shore, not caring where my legs were taking me.
'Sorry!' I said as I collided with someone, but then, they couldn't hear me.
They stumbled back, looking around confused.
My eyes widened.
'Mama.' I whispered.
But she couldn't see me.
'Mama, it's me. Vic!' I cried.
She frowned but simply shook her head and smiled, walking away.
I watched her leave as tears filled my eyes, she probably didn't even know.
She probably still thinks I'm alive.
'Mama!' I yelled, tears overflowing and spilling down my cheek.
'I know how you feel.' A soft voice said behind me.
I whipped around to see a girl, slightly younger than me, with bright orange hair.
'You can see me?' I asked.
She smiled and nodded, 'Yeah.'
'The dead can see the dead!' She laughed.
'My boyfriends dead too. I was alive, b-but I could see him. Now I'm d-dead too, but I don't know how to find him again.' I stuttered.
She smiled sympathetically, 'I liked someone too. He didn't know though. We were both dead. But then, suddenly I woke up and I was here...' She whispered.
'Maybe we can find them. One day.. what was his name?' I asked.
'Jesse,' she smiled, 'what about yours?'
'Kellin.' My heart ached at the thought of him.
'That's a nice name.' She said.
I smiled, 'He had a friend called Jesse. I could never see him though.'
'Why not?' She laughed.
'He was dead, and I wasn't at the time.'
She frowned, 'He was dead?'
I nodded.
'Where was this?'
'Umm, Orlandos old music studio.' I said.
She smiled, 'Oh my god.'
'Was that him?' I asked.
She nodded.
'Maybe we'll find them together. Kellin and Jesse are quite close friends.'
She smiled again.
'I didn't get your name.' She asked.
'Vic, yours?'
'Hayley.'

'Wanna go creep some people out?' She laughed.
I smirked, 'sounds like fun.'
