Chapter 27: The Third Task

"Are you scared?" I ask Harry and he shakes his head. "Scared is an understatement of how I feel right now." I tell him and he hugs me holding me there. "It'll be okay." I tell him. "It's just a maze." He says and I nod. " Pardon me but it's time Harry. It's time." Dumbledore says coming in the room. "Hello Ms. Malfoy how are you?" He asks and I smile. "I am well Professor thank you for asking but I must be going good luck Harry. " I tell him hugging him one more time leaving. "Hey." Hermione says as I come to sit beside her and the Weasley group. "Bloody hell I'll be glad when this is over." Ron says and I nod. "Hello everyone!" Cho Chang says coming over to us. "I do hope that Cedric wins the tournament." She says. "I'm just ready for it to be over I think the whole thing is dangerous." I tell her and she nods. "Hermione what's going on with you and Viktor?" I ask her and she shakes her head. "We're just friends I promise." She says. ''VIKTOR KRUM HAS FALLEN OUT OF THE RACE FOR THE CUP." Dumbledore announces and I turn to George. "What's wrong George?" I ask him. "This is a deadly competition full of dangerous tasks and I wanted to join." He says and I laugh. Everyone starts cheering and I look to see what their cheering about and see Harry but he's carrying something.   " Is that Cedric?" I ask and Hermione stands there frozen. I run down the stairs and see Harry holding the body and people trying to remove Harry from Cedric I move closer and lean down beside Harry putting my hand on his shoulder. "Harry?" I ask and he lets go of Cedric and turns to me wrapping his arms around me. I try to stand up and almost fall over but manage to hold myself up. "Professor Moody please get him out of here." Dumbledore says buts Harry hugs me tighter. "HE'S BACK VOLDEMORT IS BACK!" Harry yells, everyone stops moving putting scared expressions on their faces except for Moody who  has a smile on his face? "Professor please get him out of here?" Dumbledore asks and I keep thinking about him smiling. " He smiled hearing Voldemort was back, he taught us the unforgivable curses, and anytime he's talking about the first wizarding war he talks like he was there on Voldemort's side. Oh my gosh "Professor Dumbledore that is not Alastar Moody. He's a fraud I promise." I tell him and he turns to Snape. "Severus it's time get Professor McGonagall." He says and they walk off.  I just sigh looking back over at Cedric I walk over to his body and just sit in front of his body with my head in my knees. We were kind of friends not best but pretty good.  "I can't believe this happened to him." I turn to see Cho crying and stand up she comes running over hugging me. "It'll be okay." I tell her.
