Josie's POV

A faded knock was heard from my bedroom & I speed walked to the front door. Zion stood in front of me with short blonde & black dreads , he gotten way taller & he dressed better. He smirked maybe cause I was drooling over him. I would never think of him like that especially when my brothers raised him .

" Like what you see Jo ? " He chuckled. I hit his arm playfully & step aside to let him in. I closed the door behind me & rushed over to him to give him a hug. I haven't seen him in 2 years. Zion was the only person who I went to when I was in trouble . I was always welcomed at his house.

" I missed you Zi. " I muttered into the crook of his neck. We were so close & seeing him just makes me wanna cry. " I missed you too. " He pulled away & gave me a small smile. 

His eyes wandered around the house & his jaw dropped." Out of all my friends your apartment is the shit ! How are you even affording this ? " 

" That's why you're here so we can talk. " I winked at him making him laugh. We took a seat on the floor . " Look Zion , I'm in a lot of trouble & when I say a lot I mean it. I stole money & I lied to my brothers. I feel bad but then again I don't. I came here to start a new life & I need you to help me. "

" J-Jo you stole from your dad ? Do you know what he's going to do when he finds you ? " I rolled my eyes at him , he was really annoying sometimes. " For real . He's going to literally kill you. " Way to state the obvious Zion.

" Don't you think I know that. I need you to help me blend in . I have the only feeling my dad has connects in LA & I don't want to get caught. I changed my hair color , I bought new clothes , this apartment. "

" Don't forget your n- " My eyes widen & I put my hands over his mouth. " Shut the fuck up Zi ! Don't remind me. " I snapped. He nodded & I slowly pulled away. 

" We're not talking about that. "

" Sorry " He whispered under his breath. I still heard , smart ass. " Anyways. Tell me , what you need me to do ? " 

" Take me to parties , meet your friends , I don't know. Whatever us 18 year old's do. " I shrugged. Me & Zion used to get so lit , I missed those days for real.  His eyes lit up & I knew he got an idea. Zion ideas were never good , ever.

" Do you have a bed here ? " He asked. I knitted my eyebrows together in confusion. I shook my head & he smirked , I hate that damn smirk. " Look , my boy Brandon is having a party at his house. It has mad rooms & space for you to stay. Pack a few things & you can stay over until you get a bed & stuff. " 

I thought about his offer. I didn't know who this Brandon kid was neither did I know how far was it. I still had to get my car , Zion would probably get drunk as fuck & forget about me. " Who is he ? How do I know if I'm safe there ? You know how I am about not feeling safe . " 

" Jo " He sighed " I got you . You're my little s- "

" You're five months older than me. Cut it out. " 

" Shut up. Anyways like I was saying . I wouldn't let nobody hurt you & its not exactly Brandon's house its Austin's. He's 20 & he doesn't play all that rowdy shit. He's not going to let none of that fighting going on. Especially when I bring you. Anybody friend of mine is a friend of his. " 

" Fine " I caved. " When could we go ? " 

" Now . "

Austin's house was beautiful. I was shook for real . It was almost like a mansion , I could stay here for months. Even though I'm not that lazy but I would. When we got out of Zion's range rover I couldn't help but take a moment to admire all the sports cars in front. Who was this boy ? 

With out even knocking , Zion walked in the house. I hit him upside his head for being so rude. He mouthed a " what " & I just rolled my eyes at him. Inside was even better. The glossy white marbled floors & the cream white walls , it was so ... what's the word? Clean? especially for a boy.

" Yo ! " Zion called out , I wanted to hit him again for being so loud. 3 other boys came down the spiraled-black stairs. On the way here Zion gave me a description of each & every one of the boys. Austin , Edwin , Brandon &... Nick ? Where was Nick ?. After seeing pictures of them I kind of already knew who was who. They weren't bad looking at all.

" Guys this is , Josep- " I hit him in the side still giving the boys a convincing smile. " Jo . She just moved to LA. " Surprisingly they all pulled me in for a hug , a group hug. This time I really laughed & smiled.

" The famous Jo . Zion tells us some stories about you. How crazy you are . " Austin joked, but I know Zion. He really would sit around telling stories about my dare devil days. I gave Zion a " what the fuck ? " Look & he just avoided my gaze. I'll deal with him later.

" Anyways , I'm sorry we just pulled you in for a hug like that. We're just very welcoming . I'm Austin, This is Brandon , Edwin & Nick is upstairs being a dick. If you didn't already know that . " I flashed a smile to them & they gestured me towards upstairs. 

I walked in front of them & I'm pretty sure I was giving them a clear view of my ass . I didn't care as long as you don't touch or talk about it. If you don't do that , we good. When we got to the top Austin went in front of me & led the way to one of the bedrooms. Zion wasn't kidding when he said there were  a lot of rooms. 

" Zion texted me & told me you need somewhere to stay until you get furniture. You can stay here for as long as you want. " Austin was so nice , I couldn't believe he was friends with Zion. 

" Thanks but it'll only be a few days. " I assured him. He left the room with the other boys. I thought I was alone until I felt a presence behind me. I slowly turned around only to be met with the only one I haven't met , Nick. " Could I help you ? " 

He had on a pink sweatshirt with blue jeans & some sneakers. I would be lying if I said he didn't look good. " Well not really. I just want to set the record straight. Don't get in my way & I won't get in yours . We don't usually have guests so be lucky I'm even going easy on you but I swear I won't if you cross me " He spoke bluntly. I felt the urge to just punch him but I kept my cool.

" Is that supposed to be threat ? I'm not sure if that was actually a joke or ? " I laughed . He had another thing coming if he thought he was going to threaten me. He laughed right along with me or should I say at me.

" It wasn't a threat. I like to call it a promise. "
