Josie's POV

The bass of the music flowed through me as I swayed my hips back & forth to the beat. I hummed along to the song that was one of my favorites.

Suddenly I felt 2 strong hands grasp my waist. I was too intoxicated to pay attention to who it was. His body rocked with mine as he pressed his front to my back. I brought my hands up to the back of his neck as I pressed harder into him making a groan escape from his lips.

" Tease " He whispered into my ear. I spun around quickly , recognizing the voice. Nick stood in front of me with an amused look. " Surprise ."

He reached out to grab my arm & I tugged away. Anger rushed through me making me instantly start becoming sober. I turned on my heels making my way to the nearest bathroom. Sweaty bodies touched me as I weaved through the flood of people. Alcohol & marijuana invaded my nose but it faded as I finally reached the inside of the bathroom that was surprisingly empty.

Before I can shut the door something blocked the way. I look up to see Nick blocking the door way. I stopped trying to close the door & let it go. He took the opportunity to let himself in , closing the door behind him.

" Why are you here ? " I questioned. First he basically tells me he should've let me die then he dances with me. This boy is bi polar I swear, I don't think I ever met somebody like that.

" Its my house ? " He stated , sarcasm was clear in his voice. He just makes me want to punch him ever time he speaks. Obviously its his house .

" Its my house " I mocked him , rolling my eyes. " I mean in the bathroom. "

" Why you left ? " He was now the one to as the questions , avoiding mine.

" Did you forget what you said earlier or do I have to remind you ? "

" You're acting like I meant it . " He scoffed.

" I don't know did you ? I don't even know you to know that. "

" You let me kiss you though. " I backed up into the sink as he stepped closer. My hands grasped the edge of it & his hands caught my waist. Just like earlier it happened too fast. It caught me way off guard. So what I let him kiss me.

" It was just a kiss " I spoke , my voice barley above a whisper. He chuckled deeply & shook his head at me trying to convince himself I was lying. I wasn't , it was just a kiss. You can't get feelings from a kiss from somebody you don't know.

" Sure it was . "

" Care to enlighten me on what it was then ? " My confidence built up quickly. I straighten up my posture , standing my ground. His eyes widen in surprise & I couldn't blame him , I was just as surprise.

" it was a kiss but it went something like this. " His whispered seductively. He grasped my chin with his fingers, his other hand squeezed the exposed skin on my hip. His lips pressed into mine & I tried to stop the urge to kiss back but it was useless. His soft , pink lips was irresistible.

Our lips molded together , My arms involuntarily wrapped around his neck. His hand moved up from my waist to the nape of my neck. He deepened the kiss as he pushed my head towards his. He grind his hips into mine making me moan in his mouth. I felt him smirk against me , I pulled away gasping for the air that was needed from the kiss.

" Lie now & tell me it just a kiss. "

I cupped my hands around his cheeks & pulled him closer to me ,our lips inches away. " It . Was. Just . A . Kiss " I pecked his lips after each word. I removed his body from mine & he didn't put up a fight. I walked out the bathroom with out saying a word & disappeared into the crowd of people.

I took one of the many bottles from counter & made my way to the patio. Nobody was allowed back here but I could careless at the moment. I unscrewed the cap & brought it to my lips , taking large gulps . It burned my throat & put my chest on fire but I didn't mind. The taste of green apple made me drink more & more. Just like earlier the view was beautiful. The moon took its place as the sun had completed its tour for the day. The sun rays were replaced with thousands of stars that were bright & compelling. I stared at the sky for what seemed like hours. The wind tickled the back of my neck making me shiver from the chills I had caught. I remember the nights when I used to go to sneak into the parks late at night & lay on the grass. I'd think about life for hours just staring at the stars.

As I drunk more , reality was beginning to fade. I could no longer control what was happening around me. The stars got blurry in my vision & the sound of the speakers blasting was now muffled with just the bass thumping. For some reason that made me wanna drink more but when I went to it was snatched from my hands.

Nick's POV

She cupped her soft delicate hands around my cheeks , pulling me closer to her. Our lips were inches away.That's until she pressed her lips to mine just like I done earlier.

" It . Was. Just . A . Kiss " She left a kiss on my lips after each word. I wanted it to last longer but that was cut short when she removed my hands from her waist. I didn't chase after her when she left the bathroom into the party.

In just a few hours this girl had an effect on me. I didn't know if it was because of her attitude , her confidence or the way she looks when I catch her off guard but she truly was something. I don't know what made me kiss her earlier but its sort of like I was dragged in. I just had to do it.

I walked out the bathroom , following her steps but I lost track when she was no where in sight. If she wasn't here I know there was only one place she will be & that's most likely the patio. I make my way to the patio to find her drinking her life away. Before she can take another swig I snatch the bottle from her hand.

" Hey give that back you meanie. " She slurred. She reached for it but I poured the rest out , throwing the bottle far away. " What the fuck ?! I was drinking t- " She hiccuped. " drinking that. "

" Drinking your life away won't solve your problems . " I sighed, I took a seat in front her . She hung her head low & I started to hear her sniffle , was she crying ? " You okay ? Jo. "

" Would you judge me if I told you a secret ? " I titled my head to the side looking at her . Before I can answer she started to talk anyway. " The reason I had caught an asthma attack in my sleep was because I had a nightmare. I shouldn't be telling you this because I just met you but I guess that doesn't matter cause you kissed me & I kissed you twice s- " She started to ramble .

" Jo . "

" Right. Anyways , since I was 12 or something I can't seem to remember but I was abused. " My eyes widen as she licked her thumb & wiped off the make up that concealed her arm. A scar was now visible & I couldn't help but feel bad.

" These tiny tattoos over me are over scars. I can't put makeup all over so I got tattoos. I can't tell you the full story but long story short since I was abused it effects me into having these crazy ass dreams . Some bullshit like that but yeah. I didn't tell you earlier because I hate talking about my past. My d- I mean the person who did this ? I left them. That's why I'm here. " Tears started to fall & her sobs were quiet .

I looked at her in awe, scared to touch how fragile she looked. She put up this whole cold heart-ed act when deep down she was hurting.
