A//N Before you read this I know this is not how Nick is in real life but this is an AU. 

Josie's POV

" It wasn't a threat. I like to call it a promise. " His face was serious , maybe too serious. I just burst out laughing at his so called threat. He looked at me with a puzzled look & I could've sworn he cursed under his breath but that just made me laugh more.

" Whew , You're funny. Y-You know you should an comedian . " I wiped the non-existent tears from the corner of my eyes , dramatically. His eyes looked darker than they were already were. I still didn't stop the smirk that was growing on my lips. I think that made him even more mad. 

Like I actually care.

The next thing he did I wasn't expecting. He took a few strides to me & next I know it I'm pinned up against the wall with my wrist locked above my head. I try my best to calm my breathing down but its hard when our lips are inches apart. I look between us then back up at his eyes. His eyes are locked on my lips that are slightly parted.

" Cat got your tongue ? " He smirks. 

No but I got something else that can catch your tongue. What the hell Jo ?

" I really appreciate it if you was to let me go. " I panted , it was getting heated within the little space between us. He let out a humorous laugh as if something was funny. " Joke ? " 

" No . Its just your adorable when you're scared. " His mood changed quickly & I don't know if he was having mood swings or what ? 

" Adorable ? " I scoff. I squirmed in his grasp from having my hands up too long. That only made him tighten his grip more.He closed the gap between our heated bodies by pressing his hips against my mine. My knees grow at the contact. He pressed even harder making me let out a gasp which only made him bite his lip.

This was going too fast. 

" Jo , You alright ? " A faint voice called from downstairs. Me & Nick's heads turned towards the door . I didn't even notice that the door was open. " Yeah I-I'm coming in a few. " I called back.

My eyes fell back on Nick's who was staring at me with ... Lust ? I don't know but it didn't make me feel uncomfortable. " I have to go. " I spoke softly , afraid of how my voice might sound if I spoke up. He nodded & slowly put my hands back on sides. 

" Before you go. " He whispered. He grabbed my chin & put his lips on mine . It was soft & delicate , not rough like I thought it would be. I kissed him back but before anything else can happen he pulled away. He swiped his tongue over his bottom lip , maybe trying to tease me I don't know but it was working. He stepped aside letting me go . 

I could feel my cheeks getting red from blushing so hard & I knew he saw it too. He tried to hide the smile that was creeping upon his lips but I saw it. I walked out the room , leaving Nick. When my back was too him I put my finger to my lip , trying to process what just happened. His kiss left a tingling feeling on my lips which made me blush even more.

One minute we were bickering the next he was sweet & delicate. I knew the kiss meant nothing but it sure did make me feel something. I shook my head at the thought . It was nothing. I told myself not sure if I believe it though.

I made my downstairs to be greeted by more people this time. It was a couple of girls that were trying too hard to bring attention to themselves. First of all they were all wearing clothes that were way too tight for their body , makeup was way too much , & they were laughing dramatically at things that weren't even funny.

Call me a hater all you want but I would never. 

" Uh This is Jo , Jo this is Kat , Tatiana , Jess & Delilah. " Austin introduced me to them & they all gave me fake smiles so I returned one back. One of the girls tried to hide the fact that they were rolling their eyes but I caught it. I let the boys & the girls talk among the selves as I let myself explore the house. I found a patio & decided to just sit there & think.

The sun hit my skin as I sat on one of the chairs. I pulled my knees closer to my chest taking in the view. It was beautiful , I wish the sun was setting it would only make the mood lighten up but thinking only made it worse. 

I suddenly felt empty , alone & cold-hearted. I thought about my family & how worried they are. No matter how bad they might me I always try to convince myself that their good deep down. I mean Zion did find out I was missing , my dad had to file a report or something. Either way I feel guilty. 

A screech from the sliding door to the patio made me jump a little. Once again Nick was by my side. He sat in the chair across from me blocking my view from the world. " What ? " I asked. 

" What's wrong ? " 

" Why do you assume something's wrong ? " I said dryly. I wasn't the type to wear my heart out on my sleeve. I always kept my feelings hidden , something my father taught me to do. Never show them you're weak. I could hear his voice yelling at me , making me cry. Soon I was able to mask how I felt.

" Your trying to hide your feelings. " It was like he read my mind. His eyes were burning into me as he looked into me. Almost like he was reading me. " Trust me , I know what you're doing. I do the same except I'm a pro. "

" I don't know what you're talking about. Now can you move out my way I was watching the view . " I rolled my eyes at his all of sudden mood. He was acting like he was concerned , when he really wasn't.

" Didn't your parents teach to not to be rude ? " My gaze on him dropped to the ground. I avoided his question even though I knew he was being sarcastic. I didn't like being on the topic of my parents I rather argue about something else.

" Did I say something wrong ? " His voice was soft & other than last time it actually sounded like he was concerned. " It's nothing. I just don't like talking about my family. " I told him. 

" Oh , okay . Sorry. " He apologized I just gave him a nod & kept my focus else where. He took my chin in his hand for the second time today. " I truly am sorry. I didn't mean to make you feel a type of way. " 

" It's fine. I'm fine. " I gave him a small smile in return . " Uh what time is the party ? " I asked , changing the topic. I knew it was starting late but I wanted to take a nap . 

" Nine I think. Why ? " 

" Just wanna take a nap. I see you later. " I got up from my spot & made my way inside.

 " See you. "
