Nick's POV

2 weeks . Its been 2 weeks since I found out about Jo's past life. I knew her brother's name sounded too familiar. Her family & my family .... is currently at war & even though I left that all behind a year ago, Jo is trouble.

She would bring all that back into my life & I think its best I stay away. In order to do that I have to visit my past one more time.

" Nick what do I owe this wonderful surprise ? " My father spoke , it was clear he didn't want me here .

" Vincent " We stood in his office with me sitting on his leather seats & him on the other side of his desk.

" We aren't going to go through the whole lecture cause' I don't have the time. So tell me , why are you here ? " He rested one arm on the chair while he smoked his cigar in another.

" I need to leave LA . " He looked at me with wide eyes & he quickly put out his cigar.

" What ? " He said through his now clenched jaw. I opened my mouth to speak when he raised his hand. " You can't just come into my office & say you want to leave. We had a deal! " He slammed his hand against the table. I'm supposed to flinch ?

" Yeah well that was before I came in contact with Christian Diaz's only daughter. " I said flatly . That seemed to shut him up. " Josephine Diaz . She's living at Austin's place . "

" What are you waiting for ? Kill the bitch ! " He shouted , what ? " His only daughter ? Do you know what that would do to him ? It will ruin him . " That famous smirk creeped on his lips he has to be on the drugs he's selling if he thinks I'm going to start killing again.

If only he knew Christian was low life that couldn't give a fuck about his daughter.

" 2 birds with one stone . Why didn't you tell me sooner ? " He shook his head mostly at his self. Probably coming up with a devious plan to end the Diaz family , which is never going to happen.

" Because not too long ago she gave us her sob story. " His eyes lit up & I swear I saw the lightbulb flick on in his head .

" wait so you're friends with her ? " Here it comes.

" Uh we aren't talking at the moment , I've been avoiding her. " I scratched the back of my head . Try avoiding somebody that lives across the hall from you.

" Well rumple , your deals always come with a fucking price . So tell me the catch first. " A deal ? He has to be kidding me.

" The ' catch ' is that you have to watch over this girl. The deal is I'll get you out of LA , new identity & all if you complete my task. Simple. "

I felt a sudden rush of anger course through me. Putting my life in danger is simple ? " You've got to be fucking kidding me ! You want me to watch over Christian's daughter while her brother is also here. He's planning on staying in LA. I can't hide who I am for long , wether the family is in LA or not. You are in hiding with the rest of your posse. Her brother will take over the business just like that " I snapped my fingers & he let out a sigh while pinching the bridge of his nose.

" Like I was saying. He thinks she's kidnapped & shit so let's make it true. Once I say you're finished watching over the little bitch you bring her here , I kill her. " He shrugged like it was nothing. MURDER ?

" Killing her is over doing it don't you think ? I mean I could understand a little scare but dad come on. " I let out a chuckle at his crazy ass idea but what he said next shocked me.

" That or I'll drag your friends in it . "

" Are you fucking kidding me ? Blackmailing won't solve this Vince. " I growled as I hovered over his desk. He stood up to my level looking me dead in the eye. " Don't try your father you know better than that Nicholas . " I rolled my eyes at him , he had me fucked up.

Honestly the boys were more important than Jo but if I was to do that I will be losing Zion in the process. This was a hard decision. Jo doesn't care about me & she's practically a fucking enemy. I thought about actually becoming friends with her but its too much history. Her family killed many of mine & just looking at her gets me angry.
