Josie's POV

" You have a few minor injuries. The regular cuts & bruises , a mild concussion & you have a huge gash on your leg plus its fractured. We want to keep you to watch over that concussion because at this point it could turn into anything. " I nodded just so I could get him to tell me about Zion. I don't care about me I care about him. 

" Now my friend , you guys said he was in surgery .... how much longer ? " 

After the car crash Zion didn't wake up after that. He was barley alive & now he's getting the bullets removed. His injuries are far much worse than mine. 

" He's in bad shape but I can assure you we're doing everything we can. " I wanted to roll my eyes so bad. I hate when doctors say that but since it's Austin's mom I'll guess we'll have to work with what she's saying.

" Okay & Austin ? Is he fine ? " You know that look that doctors put up to mask their feelings ? Yeah that look was no where to be found. " Uh " She clears her throat. " He's in surgery also. He can't feel his legs but we're hoping its nothing huge. " She smiled .

" Okay . " I gave her a smile back. 

" Look I know you don't want to give your name but we need it. "

" Sorry I can't. You can work with Blair. That's it. " She wrote down the name on her post - op. She left & I just wanted to get out of bed but my leg hurts so much. I just close my eyes & lay back . Austin & Zion is all I can think about.

" Hello " The nurse knocks on the door a few times before entering. " You have a visitor. He just described you & I told him you were here. " I raised my eyebrow at her , what ? 

" What's his name ? "

" I don't know. He won't say."

" Fine . Let him come in . " 

I almost jump out my bed when Nick comes sprinting in seconds later. His hair is a mess & he looked exhausted. " Nick ? How did you know where to find us ? " I crossed my arms over my chest as he gives me death glare. " Is there a problem ? "

Ever since my brother told me about Nick I look at him different. I don't know if that's good or bad.

" Who did it ? " He steps closer to the bed & I feel intimidated for the first time. 

" Did what ? " He scoffs & I catch on . " Do you think I would set up my best friend ? " I question the boy. He really has the never to come here & question my loyalty to Zion. I should be asking him , does Zion know about his past life ? Does anybody know ?

" I don't know. Did you ? You did get into a argument with him. Send somebody to kill him ? " He has to be fucking kidding me. I would never in my life do that to Zion. I wouldn't be here if I did. He laughs & shakes his head.

" I mean you did tell us that your family is drug lords . Your whole life is based on guns , drugs , abuse . " He laughs off the last word & at this point I can't stand to look at him. He manages to get me pissed the fuck off in a matter of seconds. " Your life is a joke so you want everybody to fall with you isn't that right ? " 

" Get out . " I look at the monitor & I swear my heartbeat is picking up. 

" Huh ? Didn't hear you there . "

" Nick I swear to god I'm tired of your bullshit. I came here with Austin to fucking save Zion. We ended up in a car crash & now we're all fucked up. I don't need you to come here & start with me because you think I would really would try to kill the person who helped me through everything in my life you call a joke. " I scoff , I look at him & I could tell what I said didn't phase him at all;  I just want to run away & hide somewhere. 

" How's Austin ? " This boy has major mood swings. 

" Find out your self. "

" I'll tell the nurse your real name. "  The audacity this boy has.

" Fine ! God , he's in surgery. He can't feel his legs at all. If you wanna know about Zion he was shot 3 times & the car crash made it worse. He's in surgery also. " 

" And you ? " I look up to meet his eyes. Concern , hurt ?

" What about me ? " 

" Your injuries ." 

" Broken leg & a concussion . " 

" Wow " its silence but it not awkward , there's no tension at all. It almost feels right but at this moment nothing feels right. " I'm sorry. " I don't know how people keep up with him. Does he seriously has issues or is it a joke ?

" What ? " 

He sighs deeply & I know apologizing isn't his thing. " I didn't mean to black on you . It's just that these kind of things don't happen & when you came I just feel like everything got worse instead of better. Don't take is as offence because you make the guys happy but a lot of shit has been going on. "

" I get it. J- " 

" Knock , knock . " Doctor Porter enters with a smile on her face. This could really bad or it could go smoothly which I doubt it will.

" Bad news first. Austin's legs are broken badly , he won't be able to walk properly for a few weeks. Zion , he's in a coma. " 

" W-what ? A coma ? Do you know why ? " Nick stays silent as he takes a seat & rest is head on his hands. I could only imagine the pain he is going through right now

" It's definitely from the accident but what caused it ? we don't know right now. The good news is there is a possibility he can wake up but the chances are not that high. " I hold back the tears that prick at my eyes & I don't know what to do. 

" Okay thanks. " She nods & greets Nick before walking out. " Could I use your phone ? " 

He doesn't question me & I think he knows why I need it. I dial Zion's brother number & I figure out how am I going to tell him his brother is in a coma. 

" Yo ? "

" Elom ? This is Jojo . " 

" Jo wassup sis , where you been at ? "
