A week or two passed by. Yugyeom and I still talk but more online than in person. He already gained many friends among our classmates anyway. I have to admit that he is pretty joyful and sometimes, you just can't help but smile even though his jokes are too cheesy.
"You know, I can sense something," Dessa tells me while we are waiting for our English professor.
"A ghost?" I ask and she slaps my arm. This violent girl.
"No! I sense something from you. I think you're blooming!"
It's my turn to shove her. "If you want me to treat you out later that's why you're saying that..."
"No, seriously," she urges but the boys behind us suddenly holler. I look back and see Yugyeom and his gang, playfully singing aloud out of boredom. He takes his phone and types. I feel my phone on my pocket vibrate.
"Someone's busy..." Dessa hums so I quickly hide my phone. I don't want her to give any meaning on our constant conversations.
"She's here, she's here," I announce when I see through the glass window that our professor walking towards the door. All of them return to their seats while I hear Yugyeom laugh.
"Hey, I thought you're not here," my seatmate, Jackson, says while taking putting his bag down.
"Huh? But I've been here all the time," I answer.
"Aren't you texting with Yugyeom? What, you're already on the same room but you're still texting each other secretly?"
"Ow!" I glare at Dessa who slapped my arm. Ugh, Jackson and his mouth.
"Is it Yugyeom?" Dessa asks with a big grin.
"Ms. Abraham, are you ready for our quiz? You look excited," we quickly sit up straight after the professor says that.
"I didn't know there's a quiz!" stupid Dessa says even though she's been chanting the characteristics of a business letter for an hour now.
"What's with the two of you?" I hear Jackson asks in hushed tone, even leaning closer just to gossip.
"Shut up," all I can say.
