sometimes there's one thing a person tells you that shatters you
that shatters your self-esteem
that shatters your confidence
that shatters your strength
tbat shatters your trust
that shatters your heart
that shatters your drive
something that leaves you in tears
as you lay sitting about it
but the worst part is
you know the person didn't understand the impact of their words
you know you're just taking it too seriously
but it still hurts nonetheless
because no one knows what's wrong except for you
