so i'm sitting between two of my better friends at lunch. and then one of them says to the other, "you don't have the right to wear that shirt. you like percy jackson more than you like harry potter."

the second one says, "i like them both equally."

so then me and the one who hasn't read pjo diverge into a conversation on the stupidity of pjo. i say that pjo is amazing because it has solangelo in it. somewhere in that conversation she tells me to forget solangelo. tears.

i tell her that it's my otp's and then she says that pjo ships are stupid, and what she said about percabeth was that the only person percy has even a little chemistry with is that annabeth. and this is when i realize she's going off of the movies.

and then we start talking about hp otp's, and she says her harry potter otp is elphias doge and doge. she said something about doge having to be female. so i ask her why it can't be a guy, and she said it'd be weird, and that she's not against the lgbtq+ community, but just no.

this is when i decide to tell her about the whe dumbledore and grindelwald romance, and she said that's the most uncannon thing she's ever heard, and that they were just friends. they were most definetely more than friends. we went through a "no homo," "yes homo" fight.

so then she asks this other friend at our table, and then she said that dumbledore and grindelwald definitely had a romantic relationship, and she shows us with her hands how they would flirt or something like that. and then she's like, "wait who's grindelwald? aren't they the people with the blue hats?" i facepalmed.

and then i ask the friend wearing the hogwarts shirt, and then she said that it was canon, and that j.k. rowling confirmed it on twitter.

so then the friend who i've been arguing with says, "some gay guy probably went on to tumblr and was like, dumbledore and grindelwald. ooh, and then everyone heard about it, and j.k. rowling wanted to be accepted by the lgbt community so she confirmed it."

i found that conversation absolutely hilarious. that friend is honestly just great.

and earlier today during gym, we won a soccer game for the first time! i know, i know, it's shocking.

so either way, one guy on our team to another was like, "i would hug you, but that's gay."

i said, "that doesn't make it gay."

so then one of my friend's said, "just because you said that you need to hug him now."

then the other guy was like, "yeah no. i'm not homo."

this went on for a while. 'twas a sad conversation.
