Chapter two
"So that's why I'm probably going to die." With you along with me. I thought. I was explaining to Conrad what happened. And I was explaining everything. Except the fact that Conrad was going to die with me. I could hold off on that little fact.
Conrad just stared at me. I couldn't tell if he was afraid. He just stared.
"Conrad?" I said.
"That's impossible." I heard him mutter under his breath.
"Conrad please. Please believe me. We are in trouble. He's going to kill us!" Despite my yelling, he still just stared. Just like in the movies I stalked over to him, And smacked his right cheek with my hand.
"He won't kill us. Because he's not a vampire!" It looked like my slap hadn't affected him at all. Great.
Conrad stood up, he grabbed my shoulders and kissed passionately but hard. He let go of my shoulders, pulled away from my face, and looked into my eyes.
"Now what is he going to do about that?" He whispered.
"Oh he can do alot." It was what I was thinking but Someone else said it. Both me and Conrad turned around, to see Vincent standing in the doorway. He was slouched against the doorway looking very...un-Vincent-like. His normally swept back hair, was jelled into perfect spikes. His clothes, instead of jeans and a t-shirt, was now all black, and more dressier. To say the least, he looked pretty damn hot.
"Vincent," I breathed. "What are you doing here?" I was very surprised I could keep calm. He was sort of a killer.
"Oh you know, whatching my girlfriend lock lips with a low-life worse than a werewolf skank. That kinda thing." Vincent didn't look mad. Just tired.
"Get out of here freak! I'm not falling for your vampire act." Conrad had let go of me completly and was stalking over to Vincent. I saw Conrad's fist ball up, and suddenly I was afraid. Afraid for Conrad.
"No Conrad!" I yelled but it was to late. Vincent had taken Conrad's arm, twisted it back, and then flew him to the ground. I quickly ran over to Conrad, and kneeled down to him. Thank God. He was breathing. But there was blood trickling down his forehead.
I looked up at Vincent, who was still just standing there like nothing had happened.
"Your a monster." I whispered.
"Oh really? Cause I thought I was a unicorn." I ignored the sarcasm. "Why are you doing this? Just kill me now and get it over with." I said this with a steady breath but I was so scared.
"I told you. You will die slowly. Maybe not physically, but mentally. In the next few months You will not be able to sleep without thinking 'Will tomorrow be my last day?' And When that happens you can consider yourself dead. And then I will be able to sleep peacefully." I wanted to ask him what exactly what he meant. But I stood my ground.
"I am never going to die, at your hand. I will hunt you down until your dead." I narrowed my eyes at him, and he just laughed.
"Only a vampire hunter can do that. And are you a vampire hunter?" He laughed evilly again.
"No, but I can get one."
"Sure. Do that. But in the meantime. Watch yourself. And your little boyfriend." Vincent raised his hand and suddenly the big window in Conrad's room flew open.
"Goodbye Dana." Vincent then walked over to the window and jumped out. But I didn't hear a crash. Huh. Maybe he...flew? Maybe.
Just as I was getting some water to wake Conrad up I swore I heard in the wind - coming from outside the window - saying "I still love you Dana."
