Chapter thirteen
Lauren's P.O.V.
CRAP! Crap, crap, crap, crap, CRAP! I shrieked in my head.
I can't believe that I did that! They are so going to be suspicious of me now. They might even try to kill me themselves!
I shook my head to myself. No, that's impossible. That won't happen. It won't. I repeated this in my head, until I was sure of it.
First of all, they didn't have the strength, or ambition, or courage to kill me. Sure, a human has killed a vampire before, but it was very difficult. And Dana and her friends were to weak for all that.
Maybe Ali wasn't that weak, but she was too confused to do anything. Confused, because I put them under my mind control.
I laughed weakly to myself, that has to keep them under control for a while. But not for long, my mind control was weak, because I hadn't eaten in a while. Ever since they tracked me down trying to find a vampire hunter. Too bad they stumbled upon something much worse.
Although, it wasn't a coincidence that they found me. I've been planning this ever since I learned about Vincent and Dana. That stupid Max kid was just a pawn in my game.
I looked down at my hands, they were turning very pale. I sighed to myself. A vampire gets very pale when they're hungrier...or should I say thirsty?
Vampires have to eat around once a week. I was past my date. I have to hunt. NOW.
I was walking down the grimy streets, trying to control myself of my outburst. I saw a human coming in my direction. A really HOT human guy.
Awww....killing him is gonna suck. Oh well.
I slowly started gliding over to him, my graceful vampire movements always helped catch prey. Vampires were designed to catch prey, we were gorgeous, it made people instantly curious to come over to us. We had normal colour eyes so not to freak people out. And we were graceful and charming. It made humans comfortable enough for us to kill them.
Although, we really don't need any of that. We were 'superman' strong. And incredibly lightening bolt fast. All vampires also had the ability of mind control. Some vampires has special traits, like Vincent did.
I looked to my feet. I don't have any special trait. There's nothing special about me.
By all this time, the guy had taken a look at me, and his eyes widened. I glanced at him, and gave a small smile. I continued on walking, making it look like I was going to pass him. I knew that he would stop though. They always do.
"Hey," he touched my arm, twirling me around. I smiled at him. "Oh, hi." I tossed my hair over my shoulder. "Is there something you would...like?" I batted my eyelashes. He seemed a bit dazzled.
He let go of my arm. "Uh, nothing really. I was just wondering..." his voice trailed off, and he shook off the thought. I giggled and he looked up at me and smiled.
I took a step closer to him. "If you were wondering my name, it's Lauren." I stepped closer to him, and dazzled him with my beautiful eyes. They were so brown, they looked black, it must have stunned him a bit.
"Uh," He stuttered. I could tell he wasn't used to being dazzled by random girls. He was probably used to dazzling girls himself, he was really hot. "I'm Brian." He cleared his throat. I was practically leaning into him now, and I touched his shoulder. I slide my hand down his arm until I touched his hand.
I heard his breathing get heavy. I smiled. "You're very attractive Brian." I whispered into his ear.
He seemed too stunned to answer. "Uh, thanks." He said.
My fingertips touched his face, he caught his breath. "And obviously I am too." I whispered. That's when I looked around the street, there were a few people around, not enough to pay attention to what we were doing, but enough to pat attention to when I was going to bite him.
Brian nodded. I took his hand and pulled away. "How about we go somewhere else...private?" I looked at him and batted my eyelashes.
Brian brightened, and it looked like he thought he had just won the jackpot. I giggled to myself as I led him into an abandoned building. He just let me trail him to it.
Stupid guy, he was so self absorbed for pretty girls, I didn't even need mind control.
Once we were safely inside the building, you would wonder why I didn't even kill him right away. But you see, I like to have fun with my prey before.
I touched his lips with my fingertips. He was speechless. I kissed him softly. He was almost in a trance.
My hand trailed down his arm, and then I spoke. "You know what would be fun?" I giggled.
He looked at me and said, "What?" He seemed eager.
"Death." I laughed. I glanced at him. His face suddenly turned pale. I started kissing his neck and he started talking.
"What? Are you some kind of goth chick or something? Because I'm totally fine with that." He rambled. He didn't want to pass up this opportunity.
I mentally rolled my eyes. Human guys are all idiots. "You could say that." I looked up at him and smiled, I continued kissing his neck.
"What kinda goth?" He asked.
"I'll let you in on a secret." I glanced at him. "I'm a vampire." I whispered to him.
His eyes grew wide, and for some reason he instantly believed me. I could tell he was about to get up and run, But I held him down. he panicked as soon as he realized how strong he was.
I grinned wickedly at him, and before he knew it, I bit into his neck.
I felt him try and wiggle out of grasp, but I was too strong and too quick. I felt the blood flow into my throat, and my hunger was growing weaker and weaker. His body grew limp within a minute.
As soon as I sucked all his blood, I let his limp body fall to the dirty ground. I grimaced at him lying on the floor.
What am I going to do with this now? I thought to myself.
I can't let him sit here, eventually some hobo would come upon finding him here. Then the police would discover his body drained of blood.
We didn't really have any vampire authority, no laws. We used to have a lot, and even practically a royal family inforcing them, but in 1922, there was a 'dethroning' of them. There was no royal family. So no laws.
There is actually pretty much one law. Its not an official law, its more like a rule. There is no official law inforcement, but vampires if they found out you disobeyed, you would be...probably executed.
That law is: clean up after yourself.
It sounds stupid, I know. But if you don't clean up after you kill, the human police would get suspicious of all the dead bodies drained of blood. Which would eventually open up the world to vampires.
We didn't really care if a few people knew about us. It didn't matter to us. It was only danger to them. But the whole world knowing, would defiantly not be good.
I dragged the body out the back door of the building, and looked around for some way to dispose of it.
YES! There was an open sewer right in the middle of the street! It would be ages before they found it. I dragged it to the empty street, and tossed it in.
I had to get rid of it better too. I took a match from my back pocket, and in one swift motion I was down in the sewer.
There wasn't a lot of water down here. And there was a ledge over there. I pulled the body out of the water and put in on the ledge. I struck the match and set in of fire.
The flames wouldn't spread because of the water. This was perfect.
I hopped out of the sewer, and started walking back to the motel.
This was a better day then I thought.
