A/N: Key: Y/N-your name Y/L/N-your last name

Y/N has been driving down long twisting roads for hours. She is not excited about leaving behind their home in New York, especially since she didn't get to start or finish out her high school career as a senior with all of her friends.

"Hey, sweety! How ya doin'?" mom asks from the driver's seat.

"Okay, i guess," I mumble. I guess the only good thing about this move is that I will get to see my friend Veronica, who moved to Riverdale before sophomore year when her dad got arrested.

We sat silently for the rest of the car ride, occasionally stopping for food and bathroom breaks or to fill up on gas. After 10 long hours of traffic and long endless roads, we pass a faded sign reading:

Welcome to Riverdale! The town with pep!

"Wow," I say sarcastically. "What a way to attract a millennial. Use the word 'pep'"

"Oh Y/N. I know you'll grow to like it here" mom says.

We pull into a small neighborhood and I see a blonde girl and a red head boy about my age sitting on the porch of the house next door.

"Ooh! Someone finally bought old Mrs. Finch's house!" the blonde girl squeals.

Great. I think to myself. I will be known as the girl who lives in old Mrs. Finch's house

Mom and I step out of the car and drag our suitcases up the front steps.

"Home sweet home!" mom says with a smile. I sigh and follow her inside.

My bedroom is painted an iris blue with a dark gray accent wall. Not too bad. The movers have already thrown all my boxes in my room and put my bed back together. As I dig through my first box I hear a knock on the door.

"Y/N, can you get that for me?" mom shouts from the kitchen.

Oh great. I think. Human interaction. I roll my eyes. "Yeah fine."

I walk down stairs and yank open the front door. The almost-too-happy blonde girl and the red head boy stand there along with a boy with dark hair I have never seen before.

"Hi my name is Betty Cooper!" the blonde girl says ecstatically.

"Archie Andrews." the boy with red hair says holding out his hand.

I shake it and smile politely.

"Jughead Jones." the dark haired boy with the crown beanie says nonchalantly.

"Hi! My name is Y/N Y/L/N. I just moved here from New York." I answer with the happiest face i could muster. (Which ended up being a small grin that probably made me look worried.)

Jughead chuckled. "Not another one"

"What's that supposed to mean?" I ask.

"Oh don't mind him. He's not big on making friends. The last time he had to do this was when our friend Veronica moved here also from New York." she said with a smile and putting her arm around Jughead.

Ok, dating. I make a mental note.

"Wait did you say Veronica? As in Veronica Lodge?"

"Yeah! Do you know her?" Archie pitches in.

"Yeah! We went to school together until she moved away after freshman year! I haven't seen her in forever!"

"Meet us at Pop's diner at 6!" Betty offers. "We can bring Veronica and get to know you better and you can start the school year with some friends!" Betty says excitedly.

"Sure! See you then!"

Betty smiles and her and Archie walk away. Jughead stays behind.

"Welcome to the group." He says with a small smile before following them back to the porch where they were sitting earlier.

"Well this year is going to be interesting," I say to myself before closing the door and walking back to my room to unpack.

A/N: Hey guys! I really liked writing this and it was gonna be really long if I didn't end it here so it's gonna be a lot of parts. Yay!
