"I'm so sorry Arch."

Veronica pulls Archie into a tight hug, a tear falling from his face.

"I don't understand." He whispers into her shoulder, trying not to show his pain.

"It just happened. I- I don't know what to say." She pulled away. "All I know is that after what I've done to you, you deserve so much more than what i can give you."

One week earlier

"Veronica, please stop" Hermione Lodge chased Veronica around the house, trying to stop her daughter from going on yet another spending rampage.

"No, Mom. You can't do this to me again!" She wiped a stray tear from her cheek before grabbing her credit card and car keys. "That diner is my favorite place in this town! Now that Daddy bought it to put up a freaking supermarket, I'm not going to have anywhere to go."

"Veronica! Stop being so dramatic! You can always go to Betty or Archie's house and there are plenty of restaurants and coffee shops in Riverdale."

"You don't understand. Poor Pop." With that final remark, she slammed the door and pulled out her cellphone.

"Hey, Archie! I'm angry. Wanna go clubbing?"

"As much as I would love to, Roni, we have midterms this week and my dad is making Jughead and I stay home and study."

"Ugh, ok. I'll talk to you later?"

"Ok," he chuckled. "Have fun clubbing."

They hang up the phone.

"Time to call my fav celebrity gal pal, my best gay, and some dim witted, sexy, disposable arm candy."

Twenty minutes later, Veronica was standing at the entrance of The Gallery, her favorite club, with Josie, Kevin, and Reggie.

When they walked in with their fake IDs, Moments by Tove Lo was blasting and they immediately started dancing.

After a few drinks, they fell on to some couches in the back of the club.

"Excuse me ma'am." A big security guard crossed his arms, looking at Veronica. "Are you Miss Lodge?"

"Uh," she said nervously. "Yes sir"

"Your credit card has been canceled."

She smiled. "This means Mommy dearest is ready to talk." She turned to the guard. "No one will find out about this, or else I will tell your boss that you let a bunch of 16 year olds into a nightclub."

The guard turned bright red and walked away.
"Easy as pie. Let's go gang." They all confidently walk out of the bar, going their separate ways. That is, all except for Veronica and Reggie.

Long story short, they were very drunk and that disposable piece of arm candy wasn't so disposable.

Veronica's POV

Waking up next to someone other than Archie. Hm. That's a new one.

Sh*t

I have to tell him. Right? It would be wrong not to. He's gonna be heartbroken...
"Good morning Beautiful."
"Damn it Reggie." She threw her dress over her head, grabbed her shoes, and dashed out the door.

Back to 3rd person

Reggie sighed, frowning to himself. He flopped back down on his bed grabbing his cell phone and dialed.

"Lodge Industries, this is Hiram Lodge speaking."

"I did it. Happy? Andrews is now out of the picture."

"Thank you Reggie. I will now cancel all of the debt your father owes me."

Reggie took in a shaky breath and hung up.
"Man, that guy sucks." He mumbled to himself whacking himself upside the head with a pillow.

Archie sat, head in his hands, in the soon to be closed diner. It was mostly empty except for a few people waiting for to-go orders of doughnuts and coffee.

"You okay?"

Archie hadn't even noticed a worried Cheryl Blossom standing over him.

"Uh..." he wiped his eyes. "No not really."
Maybe Cheryl Blossom wasn't as ill hearted as she made herself seem to be.

"Scootch." She motioned for him to move over and slid into the booth next to him. "I heard what happened and I'd be glad to murder either of them for you."

Archie let out a small laugh, before realizing she probably wasn't joking. "Thanks Cheryl. It's just a little heartbreak, that's all."

"Just lemme know, cause I know what it's like to be thrown around."

She leaned her head on his shoulder.

"I never got to properly thank you for beating the living crap out of Nick St. Claire."

"Well, he deserved it."

"But I didn't. I've been so horrible to you."

She looked up at him.

"Yeah, but you've also done some pretty great stuff too. You know, burning down your house to stand up to your psychopath of a mother and all."

She smiled.

"Cheryl, I just want you to know that even though we've had our differences, you've been through some tough crap and I'm really sorry." He pulled the red headed girl into a hug.

She sniffled and giggled. "Why are you comforting me? I should be the one comforting you!"

"I guess that's what you do when you like someone." He leaned down and placed a gentle kiss on her forehead.

"Yeah, I guess it is." She closed her eyes and rested her head on his chest.
They sat there together for the rest of the morning in silence, taking in each other's company.
