32 Leaving

Althea POV

I waited until he is breathing deeply an indication that he is fast asleep. I carefully lift his arms that is encircling my waist. I slowly laid it in the bed as I moved away from him. I slowly stood up, not wanting the sleeping man to stir.

It is almost four in the morning and Howard seems unsatiable as we fvck until I told him I cant take it anymore and the soreness in between my thigh is the proof of his unsatiable libido. I have to admit it to myself, I like what Howard and I did. The things we did and the passion we shared is uncomparable and it is definitely mind blowing and amazing sèx. But it is just what it is-- sèx.

I quietly put on my clothes and carry the traveling bag where I put all my important documents and passport. I took a last glance at the sleeping man on the huge bed. My eyes traveled to his hard muscled and sexy body. I quickly felt hot just by seeing him naked, then I look at his handsome sleeping face and my heart beats double time. He still is the most handsome man for me.

I took a step back while still watching him sleep.

Damn!

Why is this starting to be this hard?! I was decided when we left the island but now I felt like I am torn with my decision to leave and my heart is telling me to stay!

I turned around and started walking quietly towards the door. My mind is made up before and I have to stick to what my mind is telling me and block all this crazy feelings. Because when I started listening to these crazy feelings before, it only brought heartaches. This crazy feelings cannot be trusted.

I went straight to the mansion that I vowed never to returned again. I found heavily armed guards stopped my rented car from entering the premises.

Binaba ko ang window ng kotse at hinarap ang kauna unahang guard na malapit sa window ko.

"Good morning ma'am! Sino pong pakay nila?" Magalang na pahayag nito. Kita ko rin ang pagtataka sa mukha nito na dumating ako dito ng halos madilim pa. Mag aalas singko pa lang kasi ng umaga. Matigas na tinapunan ko sya ng tingin.

"Tell the master of the house, The old Devaraux, that Althea SANTILLAN is here to talk to him. Make it fast! I am in a hurry!" Matapang kong sagot na ikinabigla ng magalang na guard, nagkatinginan sila ng isa pang guard na katabi nya.

"Ma'am maaga pa po kasi. Baka po hindi pa gising si Señor." Nagkakamot sa ulo na anito sa akin.

"Well wake him up because this cant wait! Just tell him my name, I know he will see me in a haste!" Anikong muli sabay sarado ng window ko. Nagkatinginan ang mga guard at mukhang nagtatalo sila.

God! Even the guards are taking too much of my time!

Inis na binaba kong muli ang window ko at mukhang nakuha kong muli ang atensyon nila ng nanahimik sila at naghintay sa sasabihin ko.

"I am his grandchild! Now wake  up the old man and tell him I need to talk him! But tell him its Althea SANTILLAN! Now go!" Muli kong ani sa kanila at nakita ko na ang mabilis na pagkilos nila at pagradyo. Nakita ko ang isa na tumatawag na sa telepono na marahil ay nakakonek sa mansyon.

Tsk... kailangan pa bang sabihin na isa akong apo ng matanda para lang bumilis ng ganito ang kilos nila?!

Mabilis ring binuksan nila ang gate ng mansyon at sinabing dumeretso na ako at hinihintay ako sa harapan ng mansyon. Pinaandar kong muli ang kotse kong nirentahan at mabilis na pinapasok sa mala palasyong mansyon ng mga Devaraux.

Sinalubong ako ng pitong nakaunipormeng katulong at isang valet sa daan. Pagkalabas ng kotse ay agad nila akong binati ng nakayukod. Sosyal talaga ang pamilyang ito. Mabilis na lang akong pumasok at giniya naman ako ng isang katulong at itinuro ako sa library kung saan daw ako pupuntahan ng matandang lalaki.

I seated myself at the soft sofa inside the library and gaze at the thousands of books displayed at the most extravagant bookshelves I have ever seen. I wont be shocked if this library even contained first editions books that can be very expensive.

I didnt even stood up nor look back when the door opened and the sound of footstep and a tapped of the cane came closer.

I only lifted my eyes when the footsteps finally stopped. My eyes landed on a pair of eyes that resembles mine. No wonder people are always intimidated by the old Devaraux, he is truly a sight that can frightens you. The old man has a domineering look that even the brave will cower. But I will cross him and I dont cowers easily.

"It's nice to see you again my grandchild." He said unsmiling. His face is unreadable and I just cant help the snort that came out of me.

"I cant say the same. I know everything that Howard and you plotted. He told me everything and I need the signed annulment." Walang paligoy ligoy na aniko sa matanda. I saw him shook his head from disappointment or disapproval, I dont know which.

"So the young chap cant even take a hold of you. Tsk... Are you sure you know everything? Did he really told you everything child?" He said while he sat beside me and hold his cane with both of his hands.

"Yes! I know everything! How you both planned our meeting, how you both tricked me into making you my guardian and how he played me by marrying me! Alam na alam ko! Alam ko rin na pinag utos mo ang lahat ng ito! Na pinilit mong makasal kami para hindi ko mahalata na isa na akong Devaraux!" Malakas na tono na pangaakusa ko sa matanda na nananatiling kalma lang at nakatingin sa akin ng mataman.

"If that is all you know then he didnt tell you everything Althea." Anito na ikinakunot ng noo ko. Napakagaling nilang manglito at magpagulo ng utak!

"What do you mean?!" Iritang tanong ko.

The old man released a sigh and stare at me with all seriousness.

Damn! But they are really hard to understand!

"Before I tell you about my side of the story, let me begin with your late father..." he said and I stayed quiet. I wanted to hear it anyway. I wanted to hear his side. Papa stayed quiet about them. He only told us that he is a married man and nothing else. Kung tutuusin hindi ko nga alam na may lolo pa ako at kapatid sa ama kung hindi pa ako pinagbalakan ni Abuelo para mapalapit sa kanila.

Tahimik na hinintay ko ang paliwanag ng matanda.
