Althea POV

In the end Howard is the one who broke our stares. He run his finger through his long chestnut brown hair and breath in deeply. The look of exasperation and frustration is written all over his face and that expression of his delights me. It soothes my cold wounded heart. I think that maybe if I can hurt him more than he hurt me, then I can somehow inflict my revenge. I will finally be free of this hatred. Maybe then I can finally be me.

"Althea, What is this?! I should be the one who is angry at you! You left me on our fvcking wedding day! Damn! You dont know how crazily I looked for you. And when I cant find you I stayed here. I stayed here waiting for you to come back to me. Please love, let's just talk this over! We are, afterall, married." His voice sounded strained. I chuckled at how good an actor he is. He looked at me puzzled with my every reaction.

The things he said four years ago was as vivid like it was just yesterday. I remembered it all, how can I forget when it has been replaying for countless time in my head eversince that day. How he mocked me at my naivety. How he played with my young heart.
How Macky and him laughed at my expense. How he tricked me into becoming a Devaraux then becoming an Alcantara.

I just realized years ago that those are the papers I signed without reading, the old Devaraux becoming my guardian. That is why we got to continue with the marriage. A very valid marriage. It was indeed, a very nice plot.

"Bravo!" I said with my hands clapping, my eyes never waveared from looking at his pain streaked face. Applauding him with a mocking smile.

"You really act well dear husband! You and the old man plotted well and both of you are such a bunch of good actors, you deserve to be on freaking television drama show! And such a smooth plan! very thought-out indeed! You deserve my applause." I said with my mocking smile still tugging at my lips. I saw his his jaw tightened and his eyes grew a shade darker.

"Too bad I know everything! I fvcking know the truth!" I said slowly and my voice becoming low from too much hatred directed at him. He stilled and his eyes stayed on mine searching my eyes. I gave him my evilest laugh at how obvious he is. How I know I struck a nerve with the way he look at me.

"Oh and Alcantara, I almost felt bad that you only got the look-a-like. My heart goes out to you! Such a pity indeed and a fvcking waste, right?" I raised my brow at him and my tone full of sarcasm.

"...Because you married the girl who looks like the woman you are crazily inlove with but just like her, The look-a-like doesnt want you either... the replica of the face you love also left you!

And yes, I heard both of you talked on that balcony on our wedding day! It was a fvcking eye opener!" I said with the same coldness and sarcasm I mastered with my icy heart. I saw how he froze up and he just stared at me with those guilty eyes.

He looked so damn guilty I wanted to punched him until his guilty eyes popped out. I wanted to ruin his face. I wanted to break every bone in his body, but all I did is to just watched how his eyes turned sad. His pose slacken and he stepped towards me but he stopped when I held my hand high. Stopping him from taking another step.

"Althea, Is that why you left me?! Shìt! Look Althea, I have my reason why I did the things I did and say things I didnt mean. I dont mean the words I said that night, Althea. Please dont doubt my feelings for you, my feelings are all true. If you could just.." but I cut him even before he finishes. My eyes gleaming with the coldness, that icy feeling like my stone cold heart.

"Do you think it matters to me now Alcantara?! Do you think I want to hear your explanations now?! Do you think you mattered?!" I clacked my tongue and shake my head while smiling like silly. A mocking smile that made him speechless.

Then I pushed myself from his hood and slowly walked up to him. I heard him held his breath when I'm a few inches away from him. He didnt even breath nor move when I tiptoed so I can reach his ears. I smelled his familiar scent and it somehow distract me so I balled my fist. Trying to speak what I came to say. I started whispering breathless near his ears.

"You dont matter to me. You are nobody to me now. And between you and me... you are the one who should be careful to play with fire because I can burn you alive!" I said and I chuckled at his ears. I saw how his jaw hardened when I finally faced him. His breathing is also uneven and I can see the thin line of his uptight lips. I took two steps back and smile evily at him. His eyes became restless then he cast them down but not before I saw the raw desire that entered them.

"My lawyer will get in touch with you. I only had this talk so I can tell you that I'm filing for annulment. I want to see your signature in them. Goodluck with your life Alcantara." I said and I turn around and walk slowly away from him. Swaying my hips as I go because I know he is watching me leave.
