Chapter Twenty-six * Luke

The party was next weekend and Lisa would not shut up about it sometimes I wonder what's going on in her head it's like she's in her own little world only concentrating on the here and now. Everyone was coming to the party Aidan, Molly, Dylan, Ry, Taylor, Ruby, Alfie, Finn, Alex, Kourtney, Jo, Ava, Harry, Kim well everyone was coming. I heard a knock at the door

"Luke?" it was Eden. I sat up

"Yes" Eden opened the door and poked her head around the door.

"Can I come in?"

"Sure"

"Sorry Lisa and Molly are driving me insane with this party they won't shut up" She sat down on my bed and pulled up her knees up to her chin. Her long hair covered her face, she pulled it away. I longed to stoke her hair.

"Are you ok?" I asked sitting next to her on the bed. She lent against me "I miss James" She sighed. I hated James for doing this to her "Well it's not James I miss it's what James was that's what I miss"

"What do you mean?" It didn't make any sense.

"I miss having someone to talk to, someone to make me feel special" she looked up at me her eyes scanning my face, she was stunning, I put my arm around her shoulder and she lent in closer

"You can talk to me and Lisa"

"I can't talk to Lisa she has an opinion on everything"

"Well you can talk to me then" I knew what she meant Lisa could be dead annoying at times.

"Thanks you're a good friend Luke" God, again with the friend word.

"It's ok" I sighed we sat there until Lisa started calling Eden

"I better go" Eden looked up at me grinning and then she did something I wasn't expecting she flung her arms around my neck and kissed me. Her lips were soft, she pulled away her face was pink she stood up and ran to the door she pause and smiled at me then she left. I sat frozen.

What the hell just happened?
