Chapter Thirty-one * Eden

I was back at the garage to collect mums car it was another boiling hot day once again I was in shorts and a vest.

"Hey Tom, is the car ready?" I called over the radio

"Yep"

"Cool, how much does mum owe you?"

"Dunno I'll ask Joe" he walked round the back of the counter I heard him call for Joe.

"Hey Eden how's your mum?"

"She say's hi" I lied Joe blushed "How much does she owe you"

Joe handed me a piece of paper, tom coughed and gave Joe a look

"Here you go, I just need to go ... and ... um...do something" He stuttered and walked of leaving me and Tom alone.

"So are you still coming to the party tomorrow" I asked tom as we walked towards the car.

"Yeah I'll meet you at the beach"

"Looking forward to it" I said climbing into the car closed the door and wound the window down

"Eden?" Tom asked looking at his feet

"Yes?" I asked

"Are you going with anyone, to the beach" he asked not looking up.

"No, but I just split up with my boyfriend, but I told my friends about you and Kim is very excited" I change the subject Tom looked up at me

"Really?"

"Yep, you'll be fighting her off with a stick"

"Really?"

"Yes really, see you tomorrow" I drove off leaving tom standing in the garage with a thoughtful look on his face. What was he thinking about?
