Why do people think it's okay to make cutting jokes??

Or suicide jokes like what is wrong with you to think that's funny??

So today I made a joke how I wanted death, bc well I'm an edgy youth idk what you want I make death jokes every other minute

And this wannabe abocrombe prick just

"Play your wrists like a fiddle then, get a razor."

And cackled like it was the funniest thing ever

He literally told me to cut myself and commit suicide like that was an okay joke and meant nothing????

And tbh that's the worst thing to say to a person who has a past with self harm.

Let's say I was pretty upset.

"No. No that's not funny. Cutting jokes aren't funny! Why would you think that's funny?!"

"Oh cmon you so want to laugh!!"

Pricks friend: "your face is red, you're laughing!"

"No. My face is red because I'm angry! Now this is me, leaving this conversation."

So I just briskly walked away and properly ignored them

WHY DO PEOPLE THINK THOSE JOKES ARE FUNNY

NEWSFLASH PRICK THEY ARENT

THEYRE ACTUALLY TRIGGERING AND ALL AROUND MESSED UP
