"Megan!" I yelled. "How many times have I told you I don't like chopped onions on my salad?"

"I totally forgot while I was chatting up with Bryan over there. He's quite cute." She replied. Why was she like this?

"Maybe I should tell Bryan to get rid of the onions next time." I replied causing her to pass me a deadly glare.

"Oh my god just eat this." Bruce said tossing his salad and swapping with mine. "No onions. And Bryan is totally gay that's his boyfriend beside him."

"What? No.......Oh god that explains the hand holding." Megan gasped.

"You don't have to eat that Bruce." I replied. It pained me to see him being nice at times. He wasn't nice and it felt odd whenever he behaved like that.

"It's okay. At least it'll get you two to stop arguing." He replied with a calm voice. Megan looked at me and made a weird expression. I guess she was probably thinking why Bruce had all of a sudden decided to join us today. He never ate lunch with us. In fact I don't even think he eats.

"So Bruce..." Megan coughed. "Who are you taking to the annual dance this year? I hear it's going to be the ceremony of the year and since we're graduating this year it's the last event we have."

Bruce looked up from his food for a second. "Did you want me to ask you?" He questioned. There was him- the Bruce I had known.

"No, I mean I'm sure you're going with Diana here." Megan teased. I glared at her. Somehow she had this whole idea of him and me being a thing over the past couple of days. She wasn't totally wrong but I couldn't give the slightest idea of that.

"If she wants to then there's nothing that will stop me." Bruce replied playfully. He didn't even sound serious but somehow I could feel my face warming up.

Nothing that will stop me? Really, is that what this has come to?

"Just eat your food both of you." I replied.

"Diana you're face is starting to look a lot like my ketchup." Megan joked. Bruce continued laughing with her. These two somehow had teamed up and it was my worst nightmare.

"Okay you know what I'll just leave..." I said getting up. Somehow I was so rushed I flipped the sauce plate and had it all over my clothes.

"Oh my god Diana!" Megan yelled getting up. I got fewer stains in her cardigan but I got more on my shirt.

"Great just great!" I muttered under my breath. "Can you just stop laughing?" I flicked Bruce on the forehead.

"What am I going to do?"

"You could go home and change." Megan suggested.

"I have a test in 20 minutes. I can't make it. I can't go like this!"

"I have an idea." Bruce replied.

------------------------------------------

After a while we were here browsing Bruce's closet in his office and let me tell you if you thought Bruce was depressing his closet was extra depressing.

"Where do you even buy these things?" I asked.

"I get them custom made. Do you think I randomly thrift shop at weird places?" He replied.

"Well you could start."

"You can wear this shirt." He replied pulling out a black and white check squared shirt.

"It's too big for me. Why are you so big?" I asked.

"Oh please. Like I haven't seen you stare at my abs. It's like you don't even try." Bruce said with a smirk.

"Ugh...that is such....a lie." I replied.

"So if I were to say take my shirt off now you wouldn't look?" He asked.

"Please don't take off your shirt." I said. This was getting out of hand.

He laughed. "I'll cut this on the bottom all right."

"Thanks Bruce. I owe you one." I replied sitting in the chair. To really think about it I kinda owe him my whole life. Weird we never talk about that.
