"Look up for me..." The lady who was currently doing my makeup asked as she gently applied mascara on my lower lashes. I tried earlier but almost popped my eyeballs out so she insisted to do the task.

"My face feels heavy." I said with a sigh. We had been doing my hair and makeup for this event we were going later. It was mostly a thank you party of our team because we had helped rescue billion dollar worth property. I don't know much more because I was just researching, it was Bruce and the others who did majority of the task. I feel like I shouldn't even be here considering my lack of participation in the whole mission but they invited the whole team. And my mother was one of the main guests so how could I decline.

"That's cause you're not used to wearing heavy makeup. This will last about 24 hours." She smiled, filling my brows.

"Even if I like...sleep with it?" I asked.

"Yes, but I insist you don't sleep with it. Your skin will suffer else." She replied. There was something about her that was very calming.

"Ronnie, did you get her ready yet?" My mom asked, barging from the other room. She takes one good look at me and leaves a long trail of breaths.

"Oh Diana, darling you look beautiful." She said, holding herself. "And you haven't even worn the dress."

"Gee, mom why do you act like you haven't seen me in years?" I asked trying to hide my embarrassment. The lady, whose name was Ronnie apparently was trying hard to control her reaction. Couldn't blame her, my mom always has been dramatic.

"I wish you dolled up like this instead of looking like a boy all the time." She replied rolling her eyes.

"Whatever." I murmured. The last thing I wanted was to cause a scene in front of a stranger.

"Now remember few things before you head into this. A lot of important and famous people are going to be here." My mother continued spraying some Gucci perfume on her wrist. "And they're going to observe you a lot, so you need to be careful. You're going to present yourself like a fully responsible adult."

"A...what now?" I asked stuffing a bunch of grapes onto my mouth. I had to starve myself for hours while doing the makeup, there was no way I was going to keep calm.

"What am I going to do with you?" My mom sighed. Seeing her this annoyed gave me great pleasure, which is not a good thing but it was funny.

"Guy over there, already drunk." Hal said pointing his glass to a guy as we sat there counting drunk people who were trying to keep cool. He was the fifth person we spotted. This party was interesting than I thought. Seeing all these rich people and how they behaved was quite amusing.

"Are you sure you don't want another drink?" Barry asked, as he finished his strong set of whiskey. He was a fine drinker unlike the rest of us.

"No, I have classes tomorrow, I'm fine." I replied with a smile. It was true, the last thing I would want was to end up drunk on school. Imagine the horror.

Both Clark and Bruce were absent. And it was bothering me a lot more than it should have. I've just started realizing how much they affect my life. Without them, even the Justice League team, my life would've been so empty.

"Why are only half of us here?" Barry asked, finally. Finally, he asked. FINALLY. THANK THE LORDS. GOD BLESS YOU BARRY.

"They had to go somewhere, I'm sure they will be here soon." Hal replied drinking some white wine.
