Chemistry lab wasn't any bit of fun. All I could think about was Bruce. And it was my fault and my mom's partially but I felt so guilty. Nothing could distract me from it. He didn't even come to class, everyone kept saying he was on a leave but I for a fact knew he wasn't. We hadn't talked since the last time and it was killing me because he had to take all the blame for it.

"Diana, what the hell are you doing?" A voice appears from back snatching the test tube from my hand. It was Clark.

"Huh?"

"If you add hydrazine to that it's going to explode. You could've harmed yourself there!" He said putting the tube away. Wow wouldn't be the first time trying to harm myself.

"Oh...thanks." Was all I could get out from my mouth.

"You need to be out, take your coat off and wait for me outside. I'll be there in a sec."

"But......"

"Go."

"This is the most miserable I have seen you in days. Did you not sleep well?" Clark asked starting his engine. He insisted on dropping me home. I agreed. Or at least I stayed quiet for so long he answered the question himself.

"Bad pillow I guess."

"Do you want to....."

"Have you seen Bruce?" I asked.

"So....it's about that." He replied.

"Do you know about it?"

"Yes, your mom told me." Clark answered.

"So you're the head now?" I asked again.

"Yes. She is just looking out for you, you know that right?"

"No. Looking out for me would've meant suspending me too. She can't cuddle me always." I replied. Clark let out a sigh, there was no way he was going to win this one. "Did you see him or not?"

"Yes, I handed a file to him in the morning."

"Did you guys talk? And did he say anything about me?" I asked with hesitation.

"Of course we did. We're such tight best friends who go yogurt shopping every Thursdays." He replied sarcastically.

"It's not funny." I slapped his arm as he laughed. It had been long since I heard him laugh. This was the usual Clark himself.

"I know you don't want to hear this and I didn't want to be the one to tell you. But you know how Bruce is, how his history with girls is. Hippolyta doesn't want him to play you. That's all." Clark said.

"Are you....."

"And no, I'm not saying this as your ex-boyfriend but as a former team mate and a friend hopefully." He interrupted. He was so used to finishing my sentences, it was insane how he just read my mind.

But I literally forgot about Bruce's history. It never occurred to me once that he was with involved another girl just few weeks before. And the thought that he would play around with me just left me disgusted. How could I have not revisited my thoughts?

Clark stopped the car. We were in front of my home. Obviously my mom was going to be there and we were on a hiatus at the moment, not speaking to each other, ignoring the presence. I even ate her muffin this morning to piss her off so I was extra scared to face her because she didn't kid about her muffins, especially her muffins.

"Um....so this yogurt shopping...is it a normal thing?" I asked Clark. He laughed.

"You'd be surprised."

"Can we hang out.....or if you're busy I could just call Barry, I mean I'm pretty sure I saw him ate 5 boxes of pizza by himself that guy could eat anything." I said.

"I can manage time." He smiled and started his car engine.

"Okay so he hates cat and one time he had to rescue kittens from a fire that broke out in a shelter." Clark continued telling a story about Hal. "And he goes in and all picking the kittens up roughly and the next thing you know his face is covered with scratches and cat furs. And the national TV is recording it and it was the funniest thing ever! Hal was on the paper next day with his face all red and scratched up and there's this headline LOCAL HERO SAVES KITTIES."

"Oh my god you guys have that article framed on the office!" I say laughing. I didn't realize how much fun they had all along. We were eating yogurts with blueberries and almonds as we sat on his parked car.

"Yes, it was Barry's idea and I don't think anyone opposed to it except Hal." Clark said laughing.

"Man, he hates that. Whenever I asked about it he would just walk away." I say laughing.

"Oh you got some on here." Clark said wiping the edge of my lip with his thumb. I froze for a minute because even he didn't realize it. When he actually did he pretended to look outside the window.

Oh god, his hands are warm as ever.

"When did you join the Justice League?" I asked casually.

"I think Bruce and I go way back. I thought it was the best thing ever." He replied.

"It amazes me because when we used to date I never found out anything about this, like I could've never guessed you'd be a superhero. You didn't leave a spot for me to find out." I said, frankly amazed at how good he was it this.

"I guess. Whatever work, things there were I always made sure I had time for you." He replied looking straight ahead. And he was honest about it. "How things change."

"I had too many problems settling in." I replied trying to divert the topic.

"Really."

"Yeah, you know how un-athletic and un-flexible I was. I'm surprised Rene didn't murder me half way." I said laughing.

"She's quite hot." Clark said.

"She could kick your ass anytime Clark." I replied.

"I wouldn't mind." He laughed.

"You're disgusting." I said laughing back. He was such a great company to be with.

"I've really missed this. Us hanging out like this. I've missed us. Because we have so much fun." I said.

"I know. I do too. Remember that day when we had to walk barefoot back from a hike." Clark said.

"I think I still have a scar from that." I laughed.

"Really? Didn't I carry you more than half way?" He asked.

"Well I'm sorry my foot is extra sensitive!" I replied causing him to laugh even more.
