*Ashton’s POV*

“ASHTON, YOU GUYS ARE ON IN 5 MINUTES! THAT MEANS GET OFF THE PHONE WITH THAT GOD DAMN GIRL,” I hear one of the tech guys shout at me in my dressing room. For their information, I was not on the phone with any girl, although I wished I was physically with Zoe.

God dammit, this girl is on my mind more than she should be. She was just supposed to be another girl, not someone I should get all caught up over.

I didn’t even know how to classify us? Should I worry about classifying us? Do I need to talk to her?

Shit, I was never good with this stuff.

I grab my drum sticks and try to focus on the show we were about to do but my mind keeps wandering to that long blue hair that almost invited me to run my fingers through it. I close my eyes and try to stop thinking of her pale lips but it’s like she’s imprinted on me and no matter how much I try to shake her out it gets even worse.

I run into someone in the hallway, literally, and look up to see Michael, “Oh, hey Mikey.” I say dully.

“Hey, lover boy.”

“Don’t call me that.” I was kind of pissed off at him for being so close with Zoe and I think he was starting to sense how I was feeling.

“What’s up your ass tonight?”

“Stressed out man. I don’t know what to do about Zoe. You guys are close.” I say rudely, “Has she said anything to you about us?”

“I hope you know, Zoe’s great, she truly is, but I’m not into her like that. We are just friends.” He reassures me and it seems to put me to ease a little. “And infact, she has.”

My eyes dart open and I’m completely alert to what he has just told me. Does she talk about me the way I talk about her?

“What did she say?”

“Sorry, my lips are sealed.” He moves his hand to his mouth and makes it look as though he’s zipping his lips up and throwing the key away.

“Mikey, c’mon, I was your best friend first.”

“Well, technically I didn’t promise her anything…” He trails off.

“Mikey, spill.” I say a little too impatiently.

He exclaims, “Alright, she said she was afraid you’d both fuck it up somehow if you started dating, but she’s afraid of losing you if you don’t.”

“Lose me?” He motions to the stage that encloses us from the 100’s of screaming girls. How could I be so stupid? “Oh. Of course.”

“Plus, I think she’s moving to England or something for school after she’s finished here so. She really doesn’t have anyone to stay here for.” I can’t help but hear the sadness in his voice, I guess I won’t be the only one upset when she leaves. Unlike Mikey, I wasn’t going to let her get away from me that easily.

“Should I give her a reason to stay?” I ask?

“You’d be the only reason.”

“Alright, I’ll think about it. Still nervous as hell when I’m around her so.” I say half-heartedly.

Mikey lets a small laugh escape his lips, “She’s intimidating, right?”

I basically scream, “Oh my god, I thought I was the only one!”

“We better get on stage yeah?”
