It was the most of anything connected to a cellular device that she had gotten from Linda since forever. Out of boredom but also curiosity she opened the messages.Friday 22/09/17

So the police raided the party and I was rescued by the popular kids. Laura wanted us to leave before I could look for you. Sorry 😕

All of a sudden, Jessica didn't feel as disappointed in Linda for ditching her at the party for some dude or leaving her alone while she left with the popular clique. As much as she thought of her as a traitor on Friday, Jessica also left Linda with a boy who might as well been a psycho.
She felt sick to her stomach and upset with Grant for lying. Why would he lie? Was he scared that she'd throw her own tantrum? If that was what he wanted, he most definitely wouldn't get it. Jessica still stood firm to her belief of not wanting people to be around her and in her company because they felt as if they were forced to be in her company but because they wanted to, genuinely, be in her company.
She dialed Linda and they made arrangements to meet at her house and thereafter go to the Wimpy at the mall nearby. It was to catch up with Linda over the last two days but a small part of her knew it was to check if Grant was there and with whom as well. She didn't know what she would do if he would, in fact, be there though.
