several more days later
Grant was back with his old gang. And back to being just friends with Rosie. Obviously, she would want more but for now she was glad that she had him back. He was a constant and she liked it that way.
It was a Friday night and he was in his room, just came from Rosie's house where he helped her with her math.
He thought that by keeping himself busy he could forget about her. About the way that she didn't like Ed Sheeran when almost everyone (himself included) loved the guy's music. He remembered the night they spent together so clearly that he wished it could've stayed that way.
There was a knock at his door. It took his mind off his train of Jessica and went to see who it was.
"Hey." She said, "Can I come in?"
He stood and watched her, thinking it wasn't real. That she wasn't real. She let herself in."I'm really sorry of just walking in on you like this but ever since that night you were at my house, I couldn't stop thinking about it.
"Grant, I've been so damn stupid. I should've trusted you, shouldn't have given up on us that quickly. I was only three days and I was vulnerable around you. You made me feel things I never thought I could feel and I was scared of what we could've become. Grant, will you-"
He pulled her into an embrace and that was all she needed before he looked at her, kissed her forehead and made his way down to her lips. "It's okay Jessica. I think we both needed this time apart, to see if we would really work out."
"Do this mean we can start over? That you'll give us a chance again?"
"Why don't you lean closer to me and we'll see."
So she did, Jessica leaned closer to Grant and they kissed once more.
Jessica felt that for now, with the breath she took that day, that she made the right decision. She and Grant might not work out but at least, she knows she won't regret this thing they have(whatever it is) in years from now.
THE END.
