"I can't believe it! I know that it was only three days but I thought we had a connection, you know." Jessica cried into Linda's pillow.

With all Jessica's crying and snotty tissues, Linda made a mental note to switch her pillow case once Jessica had calmed down and left her house. "Honestly Jessica, what did you expect? You hardly know the guy and you were already hoping for another relationship." She said, while rubbing her best friend's back.

"I just thought.. I just," more tears, more sobs and more tissues and Linda sighed. "I'll go make us some chamomile tea."

Jessica was left alone to dwindle in her sea of sad, regretful, disappointed and angry thoughts in her river of tears. She looked around, there were so many tissues, on the floor, on the bed they littered the entire room.

She did only meet him two nights ago. It wasn't as though they'd planned their future together, albeit she felt that way.

She felt... pathetic.

Maybe Grant was never the person she thought he was. Maybe he was someone who only came into her life to help her overcome her fear of falling. Maybe Grant was only there for her to realise how easily and quickly she fell for someone. Grant was only being friendly and the two of them meeting was a coincidence nothing more, nothing less.

She got up and started to pick the tissues, as snotty as they were, dumping them in the little bin at Linda's desk.

Linda came into the room with two cups of chamomile tea in her hands and a rather surprised expression.

"Did you recover, that quickly?" Jessica didn't recover, she was just really good at hiding how miserable she felt.

A forced shy smile took over Jessica's features, "You know," Jessica started, standing to take the cup of tea, "I guess you're right. I so badly wanted to be in a relationship that I caught feels in less than a day and that's ridiculous and most of all... it's not me."

"Glad to know someone's back to their normal self."

"So, how about a movie?"
