I wake up and immediately smell around me. I smile at the odor of Jacks cologne mixed with his strawberry scented shampoo. I open my eyes to reveal the only thing I wish to see in the morning. My sight is a little blurry but I can still see the gorgeous noodle headed boy. Slowly getting up I remove him from my lap where he fell asleep the night before. He groans at me moving him but soon falls back into a deep sleep. I giggle at him and head downstairs.
I walk downstairs and check the microwave clock. 6AM. Why am I up so early? I shake my head and start making some cereal. Jonah said we were doing something fun today. Last time he said that the night ended with a crying Corbyn.
Only a small remainder of my Captain Crunch remained in my bowl. I hear a soft pair of feet come down the stairs. They were too loud to be Jack of Zach's and Corbyns speed is faster. That leaves Jonah. He walks in a gives me a concerned smile. I give him a reassuring one back and he joins me with his Kellogg's cereal. We only have small conversations before he starts on the day.
Jonah~ "What do you want to do today? Today is about you. We need you to get better before we do anything serious to help." He says very serious. I think for a moment on what I want to do.
Me~ "What about hiking?" I suggest. He smiles.
Jonah~ "Sounds great. We can tell the boy when they come downstairs.
As if I'm cue Zach and Jack stroll down the stairs. Jonah and I giggle at their tiny footsteps. Jonah continues to chuckle a little bit after I stop. Zach walked casually to him and softly slaps his face, but stopping at his jawline to cup his face. Jack just stands in the doorway. My glance finds him and I give him a look. He smiles and walks over to me mimicking Zach's actions. I giggle at him as he sits in the chair beside me but moving it so he can lay half on me and half on the chair. I run my hands through his hair and play with his luscious curls.
Me~ "We are going hiking today. Jonah says it'll help me." I look down but my head doesn't follow my eyes and my eye strain forces me to look back up. He smiles and nods. I look over to Jonah who has just told Zach about the hiking.
Zach~ "Hiking is for losers." He laughs. We join in as Corbyn comes downstairs. We tell him and then we all finish, or start on, our breakfast. Jack isn't one for cereal so he makes toast. Moments later the toaster pops and all we hear is a small "damnit". Corbyn takes out his phone.
Corbyn~ "We all need to appreciate how amazing Jack roasted his bread this morning." He says to the camera. I laugh and Corbyn posts the video. Jack just starts peeling a banana, forgetting about his failed toast.
When everyone's finished we all get ready for the hike. Nothing too sporty, but not too casual. Me and jack walked downstairs together and joined Jonah and Corbyn at the door.
Jonah~ "Zach. Let's go!"
Zach~ "Coming!" Jonah eye rolled and we all laughed. Just as the vision of Zach had appeared in our eyes we all started dying of laughter. The young boy had boots, a visor, and a tank top on. He blushed and threw the visor in the living room and ran upstairs to change. We had finally managed to calm down when he returned looking normal again. We started on our way. I'm so happy. The boys are the nicest people I have ever met.
We arrive to the park and start to decide on what we do. Zach thinks we should spilt up because he knows he's not as fast as are we, but Jonah wants to stay together Incase someone gets lost. We agree with Jonah while Zach pouts. We finally fill up our water bottles and stretch for a while. The car ride was pretty fun. We talked and laughed the whole way. I had pretty much forgotten about "thinking". After watching Zach and jack fails at stretching, we start on the easy trail first with only some small hills. Perfect. Only 15 minutes into the hike and Zach has tripped over his own feet 3 times and Jack only once. Corbyn has stumbled a little but not much. Jonah is probably one of the most least clumsy I have ever met other than myself. He never falls. Like ever. I have to admit, there is some serious roots that can be dangerous. We finish the first trail, 2 miles, in about 45 minutes with minimal casualties. We start on the next trail and I can already tell that there is way more roofs than the first. Zach trips once again but gets up almost right away.
30 minutes in, the trail is only 4 miles, and we are almost done. My eyes catch every single root. We had originally planned to run or slow jog but no way. Not with these roots. We are now just picking up our walking pace just a smidge.
As soon as I see a large root practically invisible to the other boys everything goes in slow motion. Jonah and Corbyn leap over it while Zach just barely steps over it without falling. Jack is obvious to the giant root and falls over it, stumbling over onto the ground in pain.
Jack~ "Damnit!" I immediately rush to him as he whimpers in pain. He clutches his ankle but claims he is alright. He attempts to stand but falls as I catch him. He looks in my eyes and I sling his right arm over my shoulder, Jonah doing the same to his left as we finish the trail. I know he will be fine but that doesn't stop my mind from "thinking" about him being hurt. He insists on ya just going home and that it'll just take some ice and rest. I share a concerned look with Jonah and then Corbyn. We agree, in glances, to follow his request as we head home. Zach takes shotgun like on the way there, as Corbyn takes right and I middle. Jack lays his head on my shoulder and I lay my head on his. He swings one leg over my lap a little bit, casually so Corbyn doesn't notice. I glance to the front of the car where Jonah drives and Zach in shotgun. Zach's glazing put the window at the various sights as Jonah rests one hand on Zach's upper leg by his hip softly. I can see Zach blushing and smiling at the touch as Jonah just continues to drive as if nothings going on. Zach soon watches Jonah drive. He's fascinated by the older boy constantly moving his head and eyes to follow the road. Jonahs face is plastered with concentration. Zach just keeps on smiling. My glance finds jacks gorgeous face as his breathing softens into a sleep. I giggle at him, but I make sure not to move my shoulders so he shouldn't wake.
We get home and jack is still sleeping. Jonah has retracted his hand from Zach as a microscopic frown forms on the younger boys face in disappointment. Corbyn just texts away. Probably texting Christina. His mood has increased by a landslide since he got back together with Christina. I'm so happy for him. I slowly and carefully pic jack up and, still sleeping, he instinctively swings his arms over my shoulders and his legs around my waist. I chuckle at his actions and carry him to the living room. It's only like 6PM and we haven't eaten dinner yet, so Jonah orders pizza. His mom instincts kicked in and he insists on taking care of jack. He doesn't have time for cooking tonight. I set jack down and he starts to wake up. He sits up but winces, forgetting, at the pain. I lay down beside him and he connects to my body like a magnet. I smile and let him attach to my hip. Then I lay my arms down. Jonah comes in and lays a small pack of ice on Jacks ankle. He winces again and moves a little bit settles as I stroke his neck giving him goosebumps. I smile knowing the effect I have on him. He lays back down and soon falls asleep again.
The pizza comes and I wake the curly cutie up. We eat and time flies as we laugh and talk. It soon becomes 9PM and I help jack upstairs and into his bed. As o expected he starts to fall asleep but not before patting down next to him. I giggle and cuddle into him. Jonah told us we have to go to bed early so we can shoot some mashups tomorrow and maybe work on some new songs. Plus jack needs the rest. I hear soft snores from my chest where he's attached. Still smiling I place a small kiss on his forehead. I think I do really love him.
