Gaping at him I was stunned into silence. Hank however spoke up.

"It's because of her isn't it?" He growled out. Daniel turned to him and bared his teeth.

"Watch what you say about your future Luna!" He snapped.

"Future Luna? In case you haven't noticed, your whole pack accepted Maddie as the Luna! They want Maddie as their Luna!" Hearing Daniel's soft growl I jumped up and put my hand on Hank's arm which made him growl louder.

"Stop it!" I snapped at him. "You made your choice and it wasn't me. I'll go back if that's what is best." Glaring at him I saw him shift his feet.

"Hank will being going back with you. Just to provide additional protection until these issues are resolved. I don't see the need to keep you here any longer." With that he turned and left the room. Fuming silently. I looked up at Hank. Smiling at him I hugged his waist. Waiting until he hugged me back, I finally let him go. Swatting him out of my room I told him to pack. Repacking my suitcases I waited until Hank came and knocked on my door before grabbing my stuff. Heading downstairs, the air felt unusually thick with tension. Exiting the door I saw that the pack had gathered in front of the house. Walking out with my mouth open I watched as they all bared their necks to me. Looking around I spotted Daniel and Rachel exiting from the woods. Watching her scowl, I smiled my first real smile in days. Walking towards the car, I was stopped by Marah and Katie who each hugged me tearfully. Leaning down I hugged them awkwardly with my soft cast. Seeing Tim and Ted I reached and pulled them into a hug as well.

"Wait one second." I told them as I dug through my back pack. Pulling out my sketchbook I tore out a copy of the pictures I did for them and gave them each a photo that we had taken together. Seeing them cry I hugged them harder to me and promised I'd come back. Seeing them sniffling and wiping away tears furiously I smiled and ruffled their hair.

Walking closer to the car I was stopped every few feet by people and embraced or give a clap on the back. Returning each with a warm smile and a big thank you I eventually reached the car. Giving my suitcases to Hank I quickly hugged everyone I could reach. Making it to the car I waved before getting in. Hearing the car start I turned around in the seat as we drove away. Watching the pack I had come to love disappear I heard the faint sounds of howling. Realizing that they were howling because of my departure I turned around and had to blot away tears. Feeling Hank pat me on the knee, I cried buckets, eventually lulling myself to sleep.
