Moonlit Forever

Maddie POV

Sorry it has taken me so long to post. Been crazy around here as I have had to switch jobs. Hopefully going to get back onto schedule now and let you guys enjoy the rest of this book!

Maddie POV

Waking up, I saw the familiar road. Looking out the windows I stretched until I felt my muscles quiver. Moaning a bit, I relaxed and looked over at Daniel, who glanced over at me with a quick smirk.

"Nice nap Sleeping Beauty?" He said in a teasing voice.

"Oh man, back to Sleeping Beauty? You must have loved me before you even knew it." I teased him right back with a light slug to the arm. Smiling at him, I stared out the window as the trees dissolved into pack land. Seeing the vaguely familiar pack lands, I could feel myself getting antsy and nervous. Sensing my nerves, Daniel reached over and grabbed my hand and gave it a squeeze.

"They still love you. If anything they hate me right now so you should at least go unnoticed." He said with a twinkle in his eye. Laughing at that, I tensed as we pulled in front of the pack house and saw the crowd that had gathered. Stopping the car Daniel looked at me. Looking over at him and smiling slightly I opened the door causing the hushed voices to stop their chatter. Standing awkwardly for a moment, I couldn't help but let out a sigh when Marah came running up to me screaming.

"LUNA!!!!! LUNA!!!!!! We missed you!" Grabbing my waist in a hug, I only had to wait another minute as the rest of the group joined her in hugging me. Smiling and laughing I hugged them all back. Standing I could feel the pack's tension rise as Rachel pushed her way to the front of the pack. Narrowing my eyes slightly, I felt Daniel come to my side immediately and place his hand in mine. Seeing her zero in on our hands, I waited for her to say something.

"This pack deserves better." She spat out before turning to let me pass. Ignoring her, I started to walk into the crowd when I heard Marah scream out before I felt the pain radiating from my back. Whirling I turned to see Rachel with her claws extended. Daniel was struggling against Hank to get to her. Reaching back I felt the blood, putting my hand down, I nodded at Keith and Nick to restrain her. Seeing her shock I walked up to her and looked her in the eye.

"I was willing to let bygones be bygones but I refuse to let a spiteful she wolf endanger the pack with her delusions of grandeur. Rachel, you are no longer welcome in this pack and from this day will be considered a rogue to all wolves. You are a traitor to your Alpha and Luna and I will make sure to tell every pack so that you never hurt anybody else." Watching as her face went from shock to amusement, I felt a smile hit my face when she looked at Daniel.

"Daniel, baby. You can't let this pathetic runt talk to me like that!" She cooed out to him. Seeing his wolf struggling to take over, I watched as the uncertainty wash over her face. "Daniel?"

"Get the fuck out of my pack. Maddie is my Luna and mate. I'll support her in anything. I wanted to throw you out before we got back but she wanted to give you a chance. You just fucked up your only shot at being in a pack, Rachel. Get the fuck out of my sight before I decide your life isn't worth sparing." Daniel seethed out at her. Watching the disbelief take over, I motioned for Nick and Keith to let her go. Crumpling to the floor she clutched at her chest as the connection to the pack was taken from her. Screaming out as she felt the emptiness invade her mind, she glanced up at me with tears in her eyes. Giving her a blank look, I motioned to the woods, a path forming in the crowd. Standing, she slowly walked to the forest before shifting and running. Silence descended on the group for a minute for a huge roar went up from the crowd. Seeing our pack members cheer, I felt a smile come to my face as I made my way to Daniel and put a hand to his cheek. Feeling him relax, I gave him a small smile and led him through the crowd towards our house.
