Still laughing as we entered into the house, I froze when I saw my parents sitting in the dining room. Letting go of Daniel's hand I walked into the room slowly and look at both of them warily.

"You guys ok?"

"Maddie, come in here for a minute," my dad gently said motioning me in. Putting my guard up higher I walked in with Daniel trailing behind me. Sitting on the love seat, I patted for Daniel to sit next to me.

"What's up? You guys are acting awfully weird." I told them leveling a gaze at them both. Seeing my dad wince slightly, I glanced over quickly at my mom. "What is going on?!" Demanding them to tell me with my tone I watched as they glanced at each other before my dad started to talk.

"Have you two talked about what you are going to do now?" My dad asked clearly embarrassed. Giving Daniel a puzzled look, I saw he gesture for me to answer. Slowly formulating the plan, I turned to look at them and paused for a minute before beginning.

"Well, Daniel and I are planning on going back to our pack. We are going to work things out there. He's open to trying this now, and I am willing to give him a second chance given his past." Watching as their faces fell I just looked at them confused. "I thought that was what you wanted? You are the ones who sent me with him in the first place."

"We want you happy Maddie." My dad said slowly.

"But you don't want me happy with my mate?" I flung out standing up. I could feel my wolf on edge and wanting to break out. Huffing out a breath I walked over to the corner and focused on breathing for a second before I felt a body behind me. Tensing, I calmed down a bit when I felt the tingles, letting me know it was just Daniel. Finally calming down I grabbed Daniel's hand and led him back to the couch. Holding his hand, I sat for a minute just watching my parents.

"I'm confused. I thought we were all on the same page of Daniel isn't a bad guy?" Squeezing his hand reassuringly, I started to rub the back of his hand with my thumb.

"We don't think he is a bad guy Maddie. I just don't want you to feel you don't have a choice or feel pressured." My started again, this time sounding exhausted.

"I don't feel pressured." I threw out. "I feel confident in going back with him. Mom, you should know! I pack needs their true Luna and an Alpha needs her just as much. That doesn't pressure me into going before you start on that crap!" I snapped out the last bit at my dad. Watching him close his mouth shut again, I continued. "I got to know those people during my stay and they need a Luna. They need me. I liked getting to know them and help them. I liked seeing them smile and knowing that it was me putting that smile there. I wasn't a burden or a failure or the Alpha's daughter. I earned their respect. I'm not going back because I feel pressured, I'm going back because I belong there. That is my pack. I'm going back because I want to give what Daniel and I have an honest chance. I want to go back because I want to." Staring at them, I watched as they looked at me with surprise in their eyes. Struggling to form words, my dad just kept opening and closing his mouth.

"Not that those aren't good reasons honey, but we are your parents. We just want to make sure it is the best thing for you." My mom started to say gently.

"It is." I said forcefully. Standing I pulled Daniel to his feet. "I think we are heading back to our pack tomorrow anyway. We will probably leave around 9 if you want to say good bye." Watching them stare at me with shocked expressions, my mom's eyes started to well with tears and my dad turned to glare at Daniel.

"I made this choice, not him." I snapped out at my dad. Seeing him deflate, I let go of Daniel's hand to hug them. "I still love you but I need to do this. You need to let me." Whispering to the two of them but mostly to my dad, I felt him nod before we were all hugging. Saying out good nights a few minutes later, I walked up the stairs with Daniel in tow.

"So we are going back tomorrow, huh?" Smiling cheekily at me I just stuck my tongue out.

"They just got me so riled up. I know part of it is my wolf being on edge but a lot of it was them not trusting me." Shrugging I leaned against the wall.

"I get it Maddie, you don't have to explain." Leaning against the wall himself he studied me for a few minutes. "Are you sure you want to leave tomorrow? I mean you did just wake up."

"I'm sure. You've been away from the pack for awhile and we need to get back. We need to let them know what's happened and what's going on." Seeing his small smile, I smiled back at him before lightly chucking him under the chin. "Cheer up buttercup. They will forgive you and we will live happily ever after." Leaning forward to kiss his cheek, I pulled away and started walking to my room. Tossing over my shoulder as an after thought, "see you in the morning wolf boy." I could hear him chuckling as I closed the door.
