By the time they got to her house, it was 12:20.
"We're late." She said, looking up at Luke. They were standing on her porch, under the dim light of the bulb that needed to be changed.
"Your dad is going to hate me." He said, and she laughed.
"No, he would never. He loves you more than he loves me, probably." She said, and he chuckled, shaking her head.
"You should probably go." He said, watching her lips.
"Yeah." She mumbled, still not moving from her spot. Slowly, he ducked his head, pressing his lips to hers. There wasn't even very much movement.
But God, was she enjoying this.
Her arms found their way around his neck and his hands went to her hips. He finally pulled away and staring down a her with the corners of his mouth tweaked up.
"Seriously though, you need to go." He said, concern lacing his voice. She laughed, nodding, before waving to him and quietly stepping through the door. For a few moments, on either side of the door, they just stood there. Her, touching her lips as is she couldn't believe what had happened--which she couldn't--and him, just standing with a goofy smile plastered on his face.
That was the first time she ever kissed Luke Hemmings.
