That day, after Blaze left the park, she went directly to the store. Carrying the bank notes her mother had given her before school in her pocket, she grabbed a trolley and walked up and down the aisles. She was almost to the end of her list when a tall blonde caught her eye.
"Luke!" She shouted down the aisle, and he turned towards her, before a grin grew on his face.
"Hey Blaze."
"What are you doing here, Hemmings?" She asked, and he rolled his eyes.
"Oh, you know. Shopping." He said, and she felt her cheeks turn a deep crimson colour.
"Oh, yeah. Right. Of course." He chuckled. "Do you want to finish shopping with me?" She asked, and he nodded.
"Sure."
That was the first day she saw Luke Hemmings away from the park.
