"Are you sure this is okay?" It was the fourth time he had asked her that question.
"Luke. It's perfectly okay. Nobody's even home." She shook her head, unlocking the front door and slipping her vans off at the front door. He hesitantly took a step inside, also taking off his shoes. She walked into the kitchen, grabbing two glasses out of the cupboard and filling them with soda. She jumped up on the counter, casually sitting as Luke stood next to the island, holding his glass in his hand.
"You have a nice house." He commented, looking around her large kitchen.
"Thanks." She said, reaching over and plugging her iPhone into the dock. She played a Green Day song, and watched as Luke tapped out the beat with his long fingers. "Will you sing it?" She asked, and he looked taken aback.
"I, uh... I don't..."
"Please?" She whined, and he hesitantly nodded, before singing the lyrics.
And there's nothing wrong with me
This is how I'm supposed to be
In a land of make believe
That don't believe in me
That was the first time Luke Hemmings ever went to her house.
