I certainly feel like we’re walking in the freaking blizzard for no good reason. The mountains ahead of us are humongous and steep so we manage to find lighter terrain to walk on. However, this wind and snow is coming down so heavily on us, the snow has already reached my knees. Meaning I’m spending way much energy just taking one foot in front of the other. Imagine yourself trying to keep up with someone taller than you in weather like that. It’s just the thing, you see? You don’t keep up. You fall back, and I know that I’m falling back while trying to follow brainless in front.

I feel like the wind is like a thousand knives just cutting our faces whenever we try to get a look at what’s ahead. That, or when you’ve misbehaved at school and the teacher hits your fingers with her ruler…that freaking hurts, pretty much like this if I’m perfectly honest. And things aren’t exactly getting better for any of us. It’s getting darker and darker, and with the darkness comes the even colder winds. God, this shit won’t ever end!

Ahead there is this giant rock and we both seek some shelter as Talon actually realizes that he’s way ahead of me. We don’t get much shelter from the snow as it continues to fall down on us, but the wind is slightly weaker. It still stings, but not as badly as it did walking up here. When we stand there, we get up our night-goggles. Seriously, couldn’t they at least try to make them fit me better? With all of their fancy means they could at least get me goggles that actually fit instead of making me look like an idiot wearing them! My teeny tiny face with these big-ass glasses…I mean, I’m glad I have them, let’s just get that straight, but at the same time, they could make the effort of having them fit my face better. Talon is standing right in front of me as we start moving slightly again before he stops. “What is it?!” I practically yell at him because of the wind. “I might see a cave ahead!” He answers back as he points ahead.

“You either see one or you don’t!” I answer back as I try to look ahead at where he’s pointing. “I don’t see anything!” I then say to him as I manage to get up to him. “I assure you, there’s something there and you know what, I’ll take that something over being out in this freaking cold!” He says as I can hear his determination in his voice. I know he proves a point, to be honest those words would be mine if I was smart enough to have seen what he claims to have seen. Whatever cover we can get from this freaking wind is better than being out here. I then nod at him. “You’re right…we need to get the hell out of this freaking wind!” I answer as we then start moving towards the cave when we both then sense the ground moving. It’s shaking like hell and I’m struggling to keep balance. It’s kind of like the ground shaking with the landslide earlier. Hold on…did I say landslide?!

We both look up and ahead and see a pile of snow racing toward us. We’re not far away from the cave, but that’ll be a close call as to if we make or not. For your information, Talon and I don’t stand like two idiots thinking about it, hell we’re trying for what it’s worth. We’ll be brainless together I think as I dig through every ounce of strength that I can find. I’ve wasted so much of it already that I’m afraid it’ll be my doom. As I look up though, something big is coming my way. I see Talon manages to avoid it and so do I…sort of. It’s like a big tree-stem coming our way and I barely manage to dodge it, but at the same time I twist my goddamn ankle! I let out a small cry as it happens and I come to a halt. This is not what I need right now. Talon turns around as he sees me struggling to run the last meters up the hill. He on the other hand is nearly there…no, he is there, but he hasn’t entered the cave yet. He’s waiting for me.

I only see him run inside for a short second before he runs right back out and towards me. All of his things are back at the cave as I can see he’s running lighter than when running up. My ankle is giving me hell at the same time. I just want to curse it all out right now, but that won’t do any of us any good. Talon reaches me only moments later as I still struggle to limp my way up towards the cave. “Jump on my back!” He yells. “Why did you come back?! You made it up!” I then let out. “We’re a team, remember? Get up or I’ll drag you!” He answers back. I don’t protest and get up on his back. This can’t be easy though. He’s running up this hill once with all of his stuff, but now he’s carrying me and all of my stuff. Not to mention the blizzard wind and snow and the impending landslide…wait, where is that landslide anyways?
