Chapter 21

We just sit there on the beach and watch the waves. I was so happy at this moment. I was having my dream date and I have Shane's arms wrapped around me. Then strangely I thought something that scared me. I pull away from Shane, and run toward the water. I hear Shane screaming my name, but I don't stop. I feel tears swell up and I drop to my knees. When I drop I feel arms go around me and pull me closer to a chest. I look down and relax when I see a his tattoo. I can now feel his breath on my neck and his hands making circles on my back. He starts whispering shhhh​, and I start to calm down even more.

He keeps rubbing my back and whispering shhhh​. I pull away from him and he smiles. "Are you ready to tell me what has you so upset?" "What are we going to do when we have to go back to the castle we can't be together. What are we going to do about Zander? What happens if we get caught? What if we..." "Baby Calm down we will figure it out." Shane says cutting me off. He holds me tighter in his arms. "I don't want to lose you Shane..I want to be with you not Zander!" "Hush Baby let me worry about that." He kisses my cheek.

We are back at the hotel and laying in bed. Shane is flipping through channels. I'm laying on his chest and playing with his other hand. His phone dings on the end table next to the bed. He puts the remote down and grabs his phone. "Oh Hey Beautiful your birthday present is ready." I look at him with a confused look on my face. "What do you mean it's ready?" Then there is a knock on our hotel room door. "Go answer it Love." I get up and unlock and pull open the door. Looking at Shane the whole time. I look at who is now standing in the doorway. I about fall over. Martin freaking Bennett Johnson is standing in front of me!

"AHH! Shane why is Martin Johnson from Boys like Girls standing in front of me?" I ask but don't take my eyes off of Martin. Then Martin opens his mouth to speak. "Hey Layla, I'm here to give you your birthday present from Shane. Who arranged all of this." I still just stare at him. He reaches in pocket and pulls out two hard cards with landlords attached. Then he pulls out two paper like cards out of the other pocket. He hands them to me, and I look away from him to look down at what he put in my hand. There are two backstage passes and two tickets to Boys Like Girls tonight. "AHHHHHHHHHH!" I scream. "Happy birthday Layla see you tonight." Martin says and leans in and kisses my cheek. Then he turns and walks away.

I shut the door and turn to look at Shane. "So Martin pretty much said it all, but happy birthday Love." I look at him with shock on my face. "Layla, Please say something." I run to him and he hugs me tight. I kiss his neck and make my way up to his lips. "So you like the gift?" I shake my head. "No Babe I love it, but how
did you do all of this? And when did you all of this?" "Well when I was in Parker doing Training I went out with some of the other guys. We went to a club and Boys like Girls were singing there and after the concert they were getting drinks and I went up to talk to Martin. We came up with all of this, that is part of the reason I wanted to take you here."

"I got Martin's number and we have been texting back and forth all day. I actually meet up with him last night before I got my tattoo. I hug Shane one more time. "Thank you for everything." "Your welcome Layla, now go get ready. we leave in 30 minutes." He kisses me and I run to the bathroom to freshen up my make up. Then I curl my hair, and repin it. When I'm done with that I brush my teeth and put on some perfume. Out of nowhere Shane's arms are around me and he is kissing my neck. "You look gorgeous Layla, and you're all mine." I smile at him in the mirror. "Thank you Shane, but i have to confess something." He grins and kisses my neck again. "What's that my Beautiful Girl?" "Well, I have the hugest crush on Martin and i kind of enjoyed when he kissed my cheek." He laughs. "I know you do Baby, but he cant kiss you here." He says kissing my neck . "Or here."He spins me around and kisses my lips in the most passionate kiss ever." WOW I LOVE HIM!
