Chapter 12

I felt safe in Shane's arms. I cuddle more into him to find him not by my side. Did he leave me already? Is it really morning? I open my eyes to find it pitch black in my room. I grab my phone off the nightstand and click the unlock button. Its 2:30am. I look around my room.

That's when I see the light on in my bathroom. I get out of bed, and walk over to the bathroom door. I knock gently. "Shane?" "Sweetheart, go back to bed I'm okay." He whispered back and then I heard him start to throw up. I open the door without any hesitation. I see Shane sitting shirtless on the floor in front of the toilet. I bent down so I was right next to him.

I reach out to touch him and he started to throw up again. I rubbed his sweaty back. When he was done he laid his head on the seat. "Baby, I'm fine really its just a side effect from the medicine I'm on. I think I'm done now." I half smile, I knew that he wasn't okay he just need to be strong in front of me.

"Shane, how long has this been going on?" I lay me head on his shoulder. He takes a few minutes to answer me. I kiss his shoulder and he shivers. "Well the pain killers I'm on makes me feel sick so about four days." I don't know what to say so I just pull him into my arms.

"Shane? " I say after a few minutes pass. "Yeah Beautiful?" "Are you okay now?" He nods his head which is buried in my neck. I don't know how much time passed. We were still sitting on the floor in the bathroom.

I began to comb my fingers through his hair. Out of sudden he pushes me away. I was about to question him but he began to throw up again. I rub his back. He seemed to be done. He laid his on the seat again. He took a few deep breaths. I continued to rub is back.

"Baby, that feels really good." I smiled and still keep rubbing his back. He started to throw up again. I kissed his shoulder. "I will be right back." I got up and ran out of the bathroom. I ran up to my call button on the wall. I really didn't want to wake her but didn't know what else to do.

"Sweet girl are you okay?" Melissa's voice came through the speaker. "I'm okay but I need your help with Shane, I think he needs a doctor." "Okay Sweet Girl,what's going on?" "He is throwing up nonstop. What do I do?"

It took her a couple minutes to come back. "Okay Sweet girl I'm on my way and I will bring the doctor. What you can so is put something cold on the back of his neck. Wet a washcloth in cold water and wring it out and put it on the back of his neck. We should be there soon." I didn't answer her.

I ran back to the bathroom. I did as Melissa said. I got a washcloth from my bathroom closet and wet it with cold water. Shane was laying his head on the seat and his eyes were closed. When I placed the washcloth on the back of his neck he moaned.

I rubbed his back, as he began to throw up for the tenth time. I leaned in a kissed his cheek. "Its going to be okay, I got you." I kiss his cheek again and when I pull away I hear my bedroom door shut.

"Sweet Girl, where are you?" "Bathroom." Melissa comes in with the doctor behind her. "Okay Sweet Girl come here so the doctor can look at him." I shook my head I didn't want too leave him. Melissa pulls me from Shane. "NO Baby don't leave me!" Shane screams out when I'm pulled out of the bathroom.

"I'm right here Shane, I'm here! Let the Doctor look at you then you can be back in my arms i promise." Melissa holds me as Doctor Lee checks out Shane. I'm not sure how much time pasted. Until i see Doctor Lee walking into the room with a shoulder draped over Shane's shoulders. He sits Shane on my bed.

Shane crawls up into a ball. Doctor Lee came over to me and kneels down next to me. "He is going to be just fine I gave him something for the nausea. He just needs to rest. I'm going to give you these if he feels like this again give him one and it will melt on his tongue.

If you need anything else or have any question just give a call." I nod and take the pills. Melissa kisses my cheek and they both leave. I get up from the floor and go up to cuddle with Shane. Before I do I kiss his cheek. He sirs a little. I don't move for a few minutes.

He stayed asleep, so I cuddled up into his side. "I love you Shane forever and always. I play with his hair and close my eyes. "Love you too Layla more then you think I do. He kisses my cheek and pulls me into his arms.

I start to hum and sing battleships by Daughtry I shorty hear him start to snore. I smile to myself and drift off to sleep myself feeling completely safe and at home.
