One love

Chapter 28

I rolled over  in bed and slap Shane in the face. “Omg i’m sorry Babe.” He  rolls over so he is facing me. “Its okay Baby, I should probably go get ready for breakfast.” He starts  to get up, but i stop him. “I really need to go Baby before we get caught.” I don't say anything i just pull him closer so our lips are only inches apart. “Oh  understand what you want.”I smile as he smashes his lips to mine. “See you at the gate in the garden in a few hours.” I smile again when he kisses my cheek. He leaves me to my thoughts and to get ready for breakfast.

I go over the plan in my head, and i do like it but i'm not sure if  it is going to work. The plan is going to happen after dinner. Zander will come running in the room saying there are rebels attacking. Shane will escort me out and bring me to safety. Which will be in the safe room which will have Kenna in it. Then Shane will leave to fight the rebels but actually he is going to go get our bags we packed last night and put them in his car then he will meet me at the garden gate. In the meantime Kenna will get me out of the castle and out to the gardens. Then Zander will tell my parents that i was kidnapped by the rebels

I really don’t want think its not going to work but we will have to see. I get myself ready for breakfast, and I open my bedroom door. I peek my head out. It’s quiet, a little too quiet for a morning in this castle. Plus no one is standing by my door. Something has to be wrong.  I walk on my tiptoes down the hallway. I make it to the grand staircase and that is when I hear voices in the ballroom. “NO, Listen to me Zander!” I shiver at father’s angry tone. “Why should i you are the one forcing your daughter to love someone she doesn't even know. When you are too blind to see that your daughter is in love with Shane.” Omg this was not apart of the plan. i walk closer to the open door and listen some more.  

“Zander, you gotta be kidding me  right now, you don’t know my little girl. She doesn't love Shane because she knows they can’t be anything. He is just a grad in the castle that is all he is and all that he will ever be to her. She loves her country to much to throw it all away on some stupid little crush on a boy who is worth nothing.”  I couldn’t take it anymore. I push the door open, and walk right up to my Father. “Hey Angel, who is with you?” I put my hand on his chest and push him a little. “No one, but that is not the issue right now.” He raised an eyebrow at me something he does when he is frustrated at me. He hasn’t done it since i was little. “Layla, what are you doing?” I forgot that Zander was still here. “Zander, please leave us I would like to talk with my father alone.” “As you wish, see you at breakfast.” He turned to leave, and my father speaks up. “This conversation is not over Zander.” He bows and walks out the door closing it behind him.

“Angel you know the rules your no-” “Stop talking this is not about me breaking the rules Dad.” I just broke a big one by cutting him off. No one is aloud to interrupt the the king. “Oh really then what is this about?” He is getting very angry with me right now. “This is about my feelings for Shane and you telling Zander the he is nothing.” I feel the tears running down my cheeks and he reaches to brush them away. I push his hand way. “NO! Don't touch me, You may be the King and want what is best for Genovia, but you need to stop being the King for two minutes and will see that i’m in love with Shane. I don't want to upset you Daddy, but i do really love Shane. I want to marry him not Zander. Please Daddy just except that.” He starts to talk away from me. “Daddy, please i really do love him.” He stopped right by the door that leads to his study. “No i will except this, you can not marry him. If you want to marry him then you must leave the castle. You will also give the crown. If i were you i would think about this, but if still choose him then leave.”

When he was done talking he opened the door that went into his study, he yelled off orders at Finn and slammed the door shut. Did he really just tell me that if  want to be the person i love i have to leave? I really need Shane right now. I ran out the ballroom to look for him. I find him in his room he must of just got out the shower. Because he was standing  at the end of his bed shirtless. I walk up behind him and pull into me. He took a deep breath. “Hey we should probably shut the door.” He says that turning to face me. “What’s Wrong Baby?” I dont say anything i just lay my head on his chest.

“Please talk to me Baby, Please…” I’m not sure how long we were standing like this. “We need to leave now. I can't wait any longer.” “Why what is going on.” I pull out of his arms and start to pace his room. “I overheard Zander and my father this morning. My father told me that i can't be with the person i love and have the crown too, so he told me that i need to choose. If i chose you in to leave the castle.” “Layla, Baby we talked about this i’m not going to stand in the way of you and the crown.” I walked over to him, push him so he is now sitting on his bed I climb up on his lap. “Shane Oliver Smith this is an easy answer for me. I don't want to Queen if i don't have you by my side, as my husband not my grad. I love you Shane and i always have. Now please stop talking and get me out off here.” I start to get up from his lap but he stops me. “Okay Baby, i can get you out of here but i need to say goodbye to mother.” “I want to come with you. I should say goodbye to Melissa.”

He kisses me and he puts a shirt on so we can go to the kitchen. He extends his arm for me to put mine throw but i take his hand instead. We walk down to the kitchen, and when we get there and inside he locks the door behind us. The kitchen is the only sound proof room in the castel other than our bedrooms. “There’s my boy! Oh and my Sunshine Girl.” “Hi Mama, Layla and i wanted to come and tell you goodbye, its time we get of here.” “Oh i thought you guys were going after dinner.” Wait Carmon knew the plan of my escape? “Yeah that was the plan but Layla got into it with her father so we are going now.” I leave Shane so he tell his Mother goodbye and i go tell Melissa goodbye.

Shane and I are  in his car driving which looks like the middle of nowhere. We finally pull up to  a gravel road. Sitting at the top of this gravel road is a little cabin. I look over at Shane and he smiles. Shane i found this cabin when we were little, we turned it into a playhouse. It had running water, and the lights worked form the solar panels on the roof. We would play here for hours. Now this his were Shane and i will be staying until stuff clams down at the castle. I get to call this place home with the man i love.
