"Two is better then one" My phone sings pulling me from my thoughts. Omg that's Shane's voice! I pick up my phone and slide a crossed the screen to answer. I wait for him to say hello. He clears his throat.

"Hey Beautiful, I miss you." "Hey Handsome I miss you too, so tell me about training what have you learned so far." "Well I learned how to fight and how to protect myself. How was your day Beautiful?" "It was okay I got informed at breakfast that I'm going to be doing some training myself." "Oh really what kind of training?" "Well I will be learning how to become Queen. Oh and Shane?" "Will that's exciting. What Beautiful?"

How do I tell him this? How do I tell him that I am going to meet the prince of Ravensville and then marry him? "Beautiful you still there?" "Yeah I'm here. Shane when are you coming home?" "A day before your birthday. What's going on Sweetheart, you sound really upset?" I feel tears stream down my cheeks at this point. "Beautiful, talk to me please."

I clear my throat. "Shane, in order for me to become queen I need to get married." "Okay I understand that. But why are you so upset?" "I'm upset because I have to marry for the Crown and not for love. I'm going to be meeting the Prince of Ravensville and I'm going to marry him. Shane, I don't want to get married. I want to be an ordinary girl. I want to see the world. Shane, my life isn't fair." I'm crying hard now.

"Beautiful, listen to me okay. You may be really upset about all of this but you need to calm down. You need to breath, its going to be okay. I will be back soon and i will be with you and help you through all of this. You need to at least give him an chance. Can you do that for me Princess?"

I took a deep breath. I didn't now that he was done talking until I heard my name. "Layla, Sweetheart you there?" "Yeah I'm here, I will try i will need your help though." "I will be there with you through it all I promise." "Shane, I really miss you now. I wish you were here. I really want one of your famous hugs."

" I'm sorry Beautiful, I really miss you too. I have a way of cheering you up though." "Oh really? How what did you do now?" He laughs. "What makes you think I did something?" " Because you you have a way of surprising me lately. So what did you do now that will cheer me up?"

"I may have gotten your birthday present today." "Wait you may have?" He laughs again. "Shane Oliver what did you get me?" "You will have to wait and see Princess." Haha I laugh. "See I made you feel a little better didn't I?" "Yeah a little bit now I'm trying to figure out What you could of got me in Parker?"

It got really chilly outside so i walked in and crawled into my bed. Shane and I talk until I couldn't stop yawning. "I'm going to let you go Beautiful, I will call you tomorrow. Sweet dreams my Princess." "Sweet dreams my Prince.

We hung up and I tucked my phone under my pillow. I have to hide it from my parents which won't be easy. I close my eyes. But I can't fall asleep. I wish Shane was here to sing to me. My phone dinged making me jump. I look at my phone and there is a text from Shane.

Hey Beautiful I bet your laying in bed and can't sleep. Go to the music app on your phone and push play. You will fall asleep. I miss you and can't wait for the two weeks to be over.

I do as he says and Shane's voice fills my room. "I remember what you wore on our first day. You came into my life
And I thought hey. You know this could be something. Cause everything you do and words you say. You know that it all takes my breath away. And now I'm left with nothing. So maybe it's true, that I can't live without you.

"Layla, Sweet Girl its time to get up for breakfast." I open my eyes and smile up at Melissa. "I see your in a better mood this morning did you get to talk to Mr. Shane last night? I nod me head and headed into the bathroom. When I'm finished I Melissa brushes out my tangles and extends her arm for me to grab.

She escrots me to the dinning room. When I open the door I see my parents sitting in their normal spots. I sit next to mom and she smiles at me. Dad does the same. Okay they're up to something.

"Good morning Daddy. "Good morning Angel. Did you have a nice talk with Shane last night?" I nearly choked on my mouth full of pancakes. "What did you just say?" Dad looks up from the newspaper and smiles again. " I asked if you had nice talk with Shane last night. Carmon did give you the Phone last night didn't she?"

"Wait you knew?" "Yeah, Shane asked if would be okay to get you one so you two can talk when he is away for training. Yeah your mother and I said yes." Omg Shane is so much trouble when I talk to him next.

After breakfast I excuse myself and Melissa escorts me to my room she helps me get dressed in a casual sundress and then leaves me so I can have sometime to myself. I text Shane even though I know he won't answer right away.

Hey handsome hope training is going well I just wanted to say hey and thanks a lot for not telling me my parents knew about the phone. (Phone hug) miss you.

I send the message and lay down on my bed I look over at the clock. Good I have an hour and a half until my training starts.
