Chapter 27

“I thought you said were going to be gentle.” “That was gentle my love.” I  was awake but i didn't them to know. I’m not sure how long I was out. “Oh how is the grad and his cute friend?” “Oh I punched him and he passed out and as for his friend he is unharmed right now but i’m reconsidering that right now.” “Why Zander?” “You called him cute really?” “What he is but you are so much better looking.” Zander laughs an that makes me shiver. Why are they in my room? I want to scream and i want to see if Shane is okay.  

I opened my eyes a little bit. Zander and Kenna were sitting on the floor. Kenna was just admiring his face. I wanted to get ou but there was no way out without them noticing. Even if i move a little bit my bed will make a sound. I sit up as quiet as I can, I throw off the blankets and make a run for the door. I get to the door and start to open it, then it is pushed shut. I feel breath on my neck and i'm being pulled backward. “Let me go Zander please.” “No Kenna and I want to talk to you and if you don't sit down and listen I will make you.

I really didn't want to listen to anything they had to say. But i didn't want to get hurt or put anyone else in danger. “Start talking then.” I say sitting on on my bed when he lets me go. “Kenna would you like to start?” Kenna comes and sits next to me. “Sure my love.” Zander smiles at her and I want to puke. “Well as you already know Zander and I are a thing, we know you saw us last night in the garden. Well we are more than a thing. Zander and I married.”

I look at her for a long minute. “What do you mean your married? How is that even possible?”  “When I got to Parker there was a rebel attack and I was kidnapped by someone in dark clothing. The person that kidnapped me was Zander, he brought me to my father which is King Ryder. Zander isn’t his son, he adopted him when his mother was killed in accident. King Ryder is the leader of the rebels. King Ryder got  banned from the Parker people so I had to find a husband who has royal blood. Zander’s Mother was the Queen of Parker so that made him Prince.”

She stops and looks at a Zander they both smile at each other. “So when did you get married.” I ask pulling her attention back to me. “We got married a few years after i move there.” “Wait if you are already married to Zander why does he have to marry me?” “He doesn't that’s why i’m here to help you get what you really deserve. I want to get you and Shane out of the Castle so you guys can have to future you both want.”

“Wait you know i love Shane?” “Oh please Layla i knew ever since we were eight.” I was trying to wrap my head around all of this. “So why did you Zander be really mean to me and force me to kiss you?” I say looking up at Zander who was pacing the room. “I need to put on an act for our parents. They cant know that Kenna and I know each they don’t even know that we are married. We have a plan on how all of this is going to go down. but you have to be on board Layla or this is not going to work.”

“Okay tell me the plan then i will see if  I want to be on board or not, but before you do i want to know if Shane is alright.” “He is fine i just punched him out. He woke up a few minutes before you did. I talked to him and told him that we will talk when you wake.” He walked over to the door and knocked. Shane came running into  the room. “Are you okay?” “Yeah i’m fine omg your eye.” “I’m okay Zander and I are even now.” I looked over at Zander and really looked at him for the first time since i woke up.

He had a bandage wrapped around his forearm.  I couldn't help but laugh. “Okay now tell us the plan.” We all sat down, I sat in between Shane’s legs on my bed with arms around me. I could tell by his hold on me that he was his protective mode. Zander sat with Kenna in his lap on the floor. They are cute together, and they seem to really love one another. That’s all i really ever wanted for my best friend. We use to talk about your future husband's’ all the time. Now look at us, we are with the people we both explained and we are happy. But we legally can't be with them.
