Chapter 10

Its been a long few days. I have been tarining most of the time. Zander and King Ryder haven't been around lately. When Zander went running out of my room a few days ago, he looked really upset. I also hear my parents yelling At someone in the dinning room.

When I came out of the kitchen from talking with Carmon I saw Zander being pulled by his ear. The Creeper pulled him out the door and out of the castle. I wanted to help Zander but didnt want to get involved.

I was in the ballroom with my trainer learning how to ballroom dance. I keep stepping on her feet. I need to learn how to dance because on my birthday and my coronation I have to dance with a bunch of people.

"Layla, you need to concentrate." I scowl at my trainer Bree. "I'm never going to get the turn thingy right." Bree truns me around so my back is to her. She pushes me out and spin then spin back in to her. I trip over my foot and end up elbowing her on then ribs. She let's me go and starts rubbing where I hit her.

I was about to turn around when out of sudden. I'm pulled into someone's hard chest. There arms were warped around my waist, I could feel there breath on my neck. It sent shivers down my spine. There breath moved to my ear and whispered in it.

"Hey Beautiful"

I spin around so fast I get lightheaded. I stare into his gorgeous brown eyes. "Shane." He laughs " After one week and four days of not seeing me in person all you say is my name?" I nod and hug him closer.

"Ow Sweetheart, can you loosen up your grip a bit I'm still a little sore." I let go and stare into his eyes. They are filled with tears. Omg I hurt Shane. "I'm so sorry I just wanted to hold you close so you cant leave me again. He laughs again, he grabs my hands and puts them around his neck.

"There now you can hold me as tight as you want. I smile and hug him as tight as before. I have my head buried in his neck. "I missed you never leave me again, I miss you to much best friend." He sighs and kisses the side of my head. "I missed you too."

We stay holding each other for a little while longer. We get interrupted when Bree says we need to get back to dancing. I figured Shane would leave but he started to spin me around on the dancefloor. "Wow where did you learn to dance like this?" "There's a lot you dont know Sweetheart."

It was really easy with Shane. He was made it easy to follow. Uh oh here comes the spin thingy. Shane pushes me out I spin around and around. I'm about to spin in to him I close my eyes. Please dont elbow him. Please dont elbow him. Please dont el...

"Open your eyes Beautiful..." I open my eyes and find myslef back in Shane's arms. "I did it! I did it without elbowing you!" Shane turns me around so I'm facing him. "Great job, Beautiful. Okay I want to try one more move you have to trust me.

I noded. He wraps an arm around my waist and dips me. It was so fast that it took my breath away. I look up into Shane's eyes. He smiles and starts to lean down. Omg he is going to kiss me. I close my eyes when he gets closer.

Our lips are inches apart and I can feel his breath. Omg this is it! My first kiss...Omg Shane is going be my first kiss. BANG! We both jump apart form each other when we hear the ballroom door bang open against the wall.

We look at the door to find a Zander with my parents standing behind him. Zander and Mom look shocked and Dad looks mad. I look over at Shane and find that he is as terrified as I am.

He let's go of me and walks away from me. He walks past Zander without acknowledging him. He gives mom a qick  hug and he walks right past Dad.

The next thing I know I'm being pulled by Finn and Mom and Zander are no where in sight. Finn pulls me to a door that I'm usually not allowed in. Its Dad's Study. Finn opens the door and pushes me inside and shuts the door behind me.

I think I'm alone but I hear a voice that makes me jump. "Angel, do you care to explain what we just walked into?" He's angry I'm scared he never has gotten angry with me before. I feel tears swell up. I clear my throat.

"Shane was helping me dance that's all Daddy I promise. He slams his fists on his desk making me jump. "Oh really so why did it look like he was about to kiss you?" "He wasn't he was just teaching me how to dance. I was struggling with Bree."

I took a breath and then continued. "He hleped me get the steps right and then we did the spin thingy and he dipped me. That's all Daddy I swear." I say him nod his. "Okay Angel I believe you but dont fall in love with him." We hugged and I was escorted back to my room.
