Eden's POV

As usual all servants are up around four in the morning to prepare everything needed for breakfast. I had grown accustomed to such early hours by now. It actually allowed me to appreciate the pure sunrise. The rays of the sun were beginning to appear through the high trees warming my face with sweet caresses. I closed my eyes allowing my imagination to free me from these chains. For a moment believing that this was all a twisted nightmare and that my family was all together and free. I could almost hear my siblings laughter as they chase one another with buckets of water. A silent tear escaped the corner of my eye. My deepest wish is for them to be okay, perhaps they were able to escape.

I heard horses galloping near me. I opened my eyes and saw the queen from afar getting off of a gorgeous black stallion bigger than life and healthier than all the slaves here combined. A few servants came to assist her but she quickly dismissed them. She took off her white helmet allowing her hair to fall free in a neatly french braid. Even the stallion bowed to her once she was before him. She started to run her hand over his snout caringly. She rested her forehead against his head.

"That's the closest you will ever see my big sister be to something or someone. She loves that horse more than she loves her prestigious life." Keana's voice startled me making the small bucket in my hand fall.

"I'm sorry, didn't mean to scare you." Her sweet voice spoke as she started picking up my mess.

"Thank you." I said softly as my lungs once again filled with calm air. I cleared my throat before asking curiously..

"Why does Rhea love her horse so much?" Keana's dark blue eyes held my own hesitant before finally answering.

"That stallion was her first gift as ruler of all kingdoms, a gift from the gods to help her in war."

"The war that was over one hundred years ago?" She smiled as we both watched Rhea take her horse away.

"He is no ordinary horse, he only respects Rhea and only moves if Rhea says so, you go near him and he will surely make you a pile of ash." I nodded in understanding.

"I should get back to my work." With that I quickly left her there. It is no mystery why the queen is so feared by everyone. She was the gods favorite since before even turning into what she is now. Without a single doubt.

As I scrubbed the upper floor the queen appeared behind me. I didn't dare look at her the wrong way. I needed to survive this hell I was put in one way or another. Her black leather boots were spotless even though she had gone horseback riding in the early morning.

"Prepare my bath." Her feminine voice filled the empty corridor. Last time I was there to prepare her bath, my brain left with despicable images I still wish to erase.

As she walked ahead, I quickly stood from the floor, following behind her in silence. In her hands she was carrying her helmet. Only then I noticed all its edges are covered in solid gold. Nothing she does is humble.

Once inside her special built bathroom, I started to prepapre the pool like bath with scented oils, lighting candles and decorating the water with lotus flowers. When I turned on my heel I bumped into her. My memory seems to be betraying me because I keep forgetting she moves as sorrowful shadows. She lifted one of her perfectly shaped eyebrows and I quickly apologized for my human idiocy.

Without manteining eye contact I started to undo the buttons of her white blouse. Her stomach was firm as rocks, the outline of her abdominals were visible but not enough to make her lose her femininity. There wasn't a single imperfection visible on her skin. Her shoulders held much freckles which sooth her correctly. For a moment I forgot she was my master and my hand touched her freckled shoulder. She quickly flinched away from me.
