Keana's POV

Paris 12:15 p.m

"Ma'am your majesty has sent you an invitation." I lifted my gaze to meet the servant who had come in my office like a silent murderer. His words did capture my attention, the royal ball is not meant to be for another two months. Perhaps she decided to send the invite already, though it did not matter if she sent that invitation the night before, all kingdoms will go out of their way to make sure they attend Rhea's party.

The envelope was usually red and golden with a RL stamped on the back. This one however was black and gold. It was only addressed to me by name, curious to know its contents I quickly tore the upper part with my knife.

~You have formally been invited to celebrate the union of your majesty Rhea Lombardi and Eden Van Den Berg.

The queen expects to see you in her palace Sunday, January 25th at 5:00 p.m.

Surely the event of the century, we are eager to see you there. With appreciation

Rhea Lombardi and wife to be Eden Van Den Berg.~

Every atom in my body exploded in a dangerous rampage. How could my sister be capable of such thing?! Why was Rhea so adamant on marrying a woman who did not reciprocate her feelings? As if we did not have bigger problems on our hands with the rebels expanding all over Europe.

"Maurizio." I called my butler which appeared almost instantly. "Prepare my flight, I have to see Rhea as soon as the sun appears on the horizons tomorrow."

Eden's POV

It has been a couple of days since my encounter with Rhea, the last I heard was the invitations being made rather quick. At this point there was nothing left to do, since it was already done. I could not go back in time all that is left to do is look forward to what this might mean to my people.

Ivanna was quite silent about the topic while Matheo was all over the place raging. I have been trying to avoid the emerald eyed girl but I am sure she has heard the rumors and Rhea, well she has once again gone into hiding. Every step towards discovering the nature of the queen equals days of isolation. A tingling feeling inside of me missed her, as crooked as that sounds that's what I've come to. Missing the woman who took my life. The thought of it made me groan into my pillow. I missed Rue and Keana.

As I closed my eyes releasing a heavy sigh my body relaxed into the soft mattress underneath me, there was a slight cool breeze coming from the open sliding doors and the white curtains danced along it, even though my eyes were closed I could see them vividly within my head. The fresh air gave my lungs a nice bathe. The smell of clean sheets made my body release the heavy toxins from the day; for a moment I caught a whiff of her scent. It made a slight smile appear on the corner of my lips.

For a short minute I felt her soft lips press against mine, her body gently on mine providing a comforting warmth. My hands reaching for her dark soft locks. I liked the way her body felt against mine and the way she always takes control.

I opened my eyes as I touched my lips with the tip of my fingers. My skin covered in goosebumps, the room did not feel as empty anymore. When I looked at the chair in the corner of it my soul almost left my body in a paralyzing parade. Her eyes were shining under the light of the moon. Her own fingertips touching her pink full lips, she smirked as she got up from the chair, she was wearing a transparent and black bridal open sleeping robe with lace underwear underneath. It made the fresh air leave my lungs. Rhea always looked dashing but there was just this look she had at nights that suited her, she looked splendid and goddess like.
